Guess I'll sit this one out then...
This could have been my first Monster Hunter on PC, but I was smart enough to run the Benchmark before.

What should I say? The frame drops are crazy! It goes from a smooth 100+ FPS down to 10-12 FPS sometimes. Especially after the first Cutscene ends, it jumps around between 60 to 70, sometimes 80 FPS.

The scene where some monsters showed up on the sandy hill, my FPS went below 10. It's the same when the main character walks around the village. It's super slow and has about 10 FPS at best. I had to go down from Ultra Settings to High Settings or it's not even playable. Don't do Ultra unless you have a 4090 or 5090.

RTX 4070 Ti SUPER @1440p
Intel Ultra 265K
32 GB DDR5 RAM
Samsung 990 Pro

My average FPS is 78 but the lowest was under 10 FPS sometimes. Total score is 26904 points. I really had to cancel the Benchmark on Ultra because the stuttering was insane. It runs much better on High but it's still very unstable. Pretty sure I could have more FPS on 1080p but who cares.

That sounds like with a few tweaks we can definitely get you 60+ stable,
the performance is mixed on a range of hardware, not sure what the causes could be but it would probably be smart to wait to see if the game gets to a better state

I did the Benchmark again, but this time at 1080p on Ultra Settings. Average FPS is 97 and the total score is 32929.

Both benchmarks were made without frame generation.

Played World? If not grab that, it's well worth it in the meantime.

Haven't been playing any Monster Hunter besides Stories 2 so far.

Are you running alot of background programs because it shouldnt be like that...
You should be hitting stable 60fps with all the toppings easly.
The benchmark was a scam. You won't be spending near as much time running around as you will in the gathering hub and fighting the monster. Both of which are frame eaters.

I'll dare say if you don't mind Rise being a switch port, you could grab that as well and easily play at 100 fps and achieve greatness. :D

i suspect it's missing AVX512 support for Intel CPUs 12th gen onward. Benchmark runs fine on AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D with RTX 4080S. Not so much on i9-13900K same settings same GPU.

Denuvo notoriously affects the lows...
I have a 4070ti and I'm getting better performance at 3440x1440
Something is draining your performance that isn't just the games admittedly not great performance

People shouldn't have to reach out for tweaks to make the game playable imho

We are talking about adjusting the graphics settings

Maybe it's because I had Raytracing set to High.
