Insect glaive why swap Y and B button actions

In monster hunter world the insect Glave jumping B button with be a dash and slash and Y would be a downwards strike. and for some reason they swapped them around.

Now my muscle memory is not only useless its actually fighting me.

They somehow went full stupid with its changes. I don't like the weapon anymore.

It was bad enough in the demo, they kept the terrible charge mechanic. They did give us bounce back but now the flipped buttons. I just tossed my favourite weapon in the garbage. Worst rendition of the IG so far.

Was so excited for another MH game and now I can't even use my weapon because it's ♥♥♥♥. No other weapon got this treatment. Incredibly disappointing.

Dont use the insect glaive but have you tried swapping the controls to Type 4. For the weapons i use it uses the MHWorld controls.

I have the same problem, and the insect glaive just feels so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ this time around ... it was so fluid and satisfying in world. and now, getting the bounce back was great, but the weapon still needs love before i can put any meaningful amount of time into my FAVORITE WEAPON
