Are people upset because their computer rigs can't handle the game or is it genuinely badly optimised?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm taking a stab, but I'm looking at the negative reviews and questioning if I should buy for my PC. My PC is definitely high end, but if its poorly optimised, I'll stay clear until the update comes through.

I'm on a 4080 and 7800X3D while this game is playable on my hardware it doesn't run as well as it should on this set up and I cant imagine what the experience might be like for someone with weaker hardware

I build my pc from scratch only last year and it's definitely within parameters, but I had issues getting it to start at all. This seems to be related to AMD graphics cards. I managed to get the game running in the end but there are a few bugs and glitches, escpecially in cutscenes. I would not call it well optimized at this stage. Many run it fine so if your specs are up to scratch and you don't have an AMD go for it. Otherwise I am expecting an update within the next 48 hours, maybe wait for launch mayham to die down and decide then :)

So I am not having the best experience on my set up currently, So I cant vouch for it being flawless but it is definitely not unplayable by any means, the 1% fps lows are noticeable and a bit jarring at this time.

The annoying part for this was The benchmarks stated it would run well at either 1440p or 1080p.

When the beta was released the game did not run the best but a few CapCom threads had stated that the beta's were an earlier fork of the game and did not account for the optimisations they had made which we would see in the full release.

It does run a little better than the beta did but i definitely had hoped for just that little bit more optimisation.

I am however understanding I am on a laptop rather than a Desktop.

Spec Wise
CPU - I7 - 12700H (12th Gen)
GPU - 3080 (mobile chip version / aware this differs from a 3080 desktop gpu)
RAM - 64Gb
Display - 1440P ( for this game i have set to run at 1080P )
Drivers - are all up to date

Some fixes oddly enough for me have been ditching DLSS completely and running with FSR3 Balanced with frame gen on. This has helped keep the game looking relatively nice whilst eliminating the micro stuttering and heightening the 1% low fps drops.

Knowing what i know now - would i avoid buying with a current gpu or the same set up i use, Nope not what so ever it is playable (in my experience) and i hope further optimisation takes place.
But i would not want to run the game on any specs lower than what my machine is. But please take into account a 3080 Laptop Gpu is not an equivalent to a desktop GPU so if you have say a 3070 Desktop gpu i think you would be fine with some tweaking to the settings.

Game deserves and award for how bad it performs vs how it looks. Cyberpunk was bad when it dropped. This might even be a level beyond.

im playing on ultra, at 120fps, games fine, have not had an issue whatsoever

4070 and cant even get past the main menu, it crashes everytime, and i run every game i throw at my PC at 1440p maxed out or close to it, including saome of the most demanding games, but some of these corporate shills are licking capcom balls so hard because their PC can run the game, i hope you get the same treatment when it´s your turn in the future.

Game seems to run perfectly fine for me on my ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4070. My guess is people are trying to run the game on potatoes or never paid attention to their actual PC specs.

I have a 3080 and it runs like crap. It's playable, but it looks worse than Monster Hunter World with lower fps

I have rtx5080 and ultra 7 265k with 64GB ram. At release i have 105-120fps at 1440p ultra with DLSS4(override) at quality mode + FG off

I tested on a gtx1650. Textures arent bad as the beta but im already fighting the water Apex. Cutscenes are horrible to watch but playing like a console 30fps is a still smooth during fights in thunderstorm

People are lying, my 4060ti is running this on Ultra no issues, and my wife with her 3050 can run it on Medium no issues. I have a RX 7800XT and a Ryzen 7 9700X. It runs smooth on 1440p with 110 fps on ultra (fsr 3 quality and frame gen on which could be off but I like it being a bit smoother). Issues for others could be faulty drivers so a clean reinstall can help, cooling can be not effective or a good old cleaning can change your life. Every Computer rig feels unique because of hardware and software differences and settings so I hope they fix it fast so others can play it too. Happy Hunting
