Game won't even launch
I have a high spec gaming machine with a rtx4090, 64gb 6800mhx ddr 5 ram and a 14700k intel machine, when I press play, all that happens is I get the busy for a few seconds windows icon and then nothing happens. I can see the play button has been pressed, but it doesn't even launch...

if you are like me, you have an AMD RTX video card. I had to turn off Windows Core Isolation, reboot, and reinstall my AMD drivers. Figured it out when Windows blocked reinstalling my drivers.

Funny thing is that Benchmark works and shows some nice results.

any fixes yet? im having the same issue. tried all the suggested fixes i could find and nothing has worked so far. drivers updated, tried admin mode and compatibility mode, tried removing crash report exe. game just doesn’t launch no error and no process in task manager

Similar issues, AMD 6700XT. But in my case, a program screen does pop up, but it's dark grey, completely unresponsive. My cursor remains unchanged, and waiting doesn't seem to do anything. I've updated to 25.2.1, windows core isolation was off, tried the other fixes noted in official guide, yet nothing.

Strangely, my nvidia 4090 device works completely fine
I turned off core isolation and then was able to run the game properly. You might want to try it, I know it's probably not ideal, but it worked for me.

Game crashed for me on shader compile first try. Downloaded latest drivers. Not a single issue since.
So many reports from other players say that since they have updated to windows 11 24h2 that even previous problems with other games have been resolved including this game and avowed. Turning off core isolation can resolve a lot of problems but is not really ideal, but it will not do any harm, especially if you have tpm 2.0 hardware security on, which you would have if using windows 11.

Same specs as me, although I'm on Windows 11. I've had no luck getting past the "Optimising game data" screen reliably. Sometimes I am able to get to the main menu but crashed when loading into the game. Most of the time I click play, get a black screen, grey screen, then the crash reporter. I've tried everything Reddit and Youtube has to offer, still unable to play on my PC.

Interestingly it works almost perfectly fine on my steamdeck which is well below minimum specs.
try turning off core isolation and it will probably work for you, it worked for me and plenty of other people.
Tried and no difference for me

are you on windows 11Pro/home 24H2? It seems this update has caused some games that wouldn't launch or work, to work again.
