That's normal when it's under load. You shouldn't need to worry about it.
that cpu runs hot lol dw it will thermal throttle to keep itself safe i think its like 95degrees c for that cpu
oh ok

its not normal but what can you do then just wait to get some patches ..The sad part that is probably coldest cpu from ryzen lineup by far ,7800x3d doesnt even run hot compare to 7700x or others..Should be around 60 max 70 ..Also depends on your cooler but generally its more game problem then your cpu..

Keep an eye on it, no it's not to weird depending on cooler and stuff. I got a super heat sink so I never see over 55C and that's a rare heat xD

I have a Aio cooler, maybe I should reapply thermal paste?

idk why peeps assume x3d doesnt run hot just because theirs doesn't, it depends on the workload and ambient temps like if your room is air-conditioned or theirs is warm af.

NOT really i think your are fine ,i again repeat its more game fault then cpu, there is some very have cpu games like total war warhammer ,spacemarines 2,remnant 2 ,helldiver 2 with a lot of units on the screen or strategy game but noone of them is now here near that temps they all like 70max ..It has denuvo on top of that ..Just tried if you have some other cpu game and see if it goes that high

you might need to underclock the CPU for the game - i used to have simular heat issue with any game made in Unity or Unreal. overheating till my PC crashed but after undervolting it with QuickCPU (its free but there are a lot of other programs you can use as well) the very same games now have not peaked above 68c for me

if you cares about the temperature, turn off the auto overclock, I'm pretty sure it will decrease around 20c.
I'm using AMD CPU too, and one day that god dang auto overclock just pushed my CPU to 94c when I was playing Apex, after I turn it off, I've never seen my CPU over 74c

but you posted exactly what i said that 7700x and others are much hotter then 7800x3d like on your timestamp 7700x is 90c and 7800x3d is 70c that is huge difference ,on top of that that is on like 100% workload not like 85.90..He should not have 80 temps in MonsterHunter though that is whole point ,every new cpu runs hot becase they all fast as hell
