Any armor is similiar?

Can I like pick any of the starting armor, or there is guardian armor type situation? Because I wanna avoid using it.

the only op item you get right away is the Hope Charm that gives you attack and defense buffs the longer the hunt goes on.

Hope armor:
divine blessing 3
stun resist 2

Leather armor:
Botanist 4
Hunger Resistance 1

Chainmail armor:
Geologist 3
Recovery Speed 2

They're all starter armors, so it doesn't matter much, and all of it will be in your item box

I forgot to even equip that. If you even can at the start of the game.

There are no OP guardian armor right now, since there are no G/Master rank to catch up to atm.
Everything is "balance".

they're all less than 20 defense total

you get them all anyway, so pick whatever, early game, armour is not really needed, so go style

The overpowered starting armor choice will be added once the release the paid master rank dlc just like they did with World and Iceborn. Its for players to get to master rank quickly if they have not played the base game yet.
