Game crashes when using FSR 3 or XeSS on Steam Deck and we need to use No Upscaling instead.

This may be the case for Linux in general, I will update this post with more information once tested.
Just had a crash with FSR 3 disabled so that ain't it. Someone said disabling the steam overlay worked for them, but I haven't tried that yet.

Cheers for the info guys, It bothers me to no end that the deck didn't get support on a series that has been traditionally a portable game series.

Anyone remember the MH coop centres that they tour'd the world with when gen 3 released?

Good times.
It runs ok I suppose but it’ll eventually crash when riding around or “changing zones”
I hope this comes to the switch 2 :yella_excited:
Between Rise and the bestiality one, catering to Nintendo fans has done enough damage to the franchise lol.

No clue what this even means. MH was always on PSP and DS.

you never experienced the glory of the original console releases joystick based attacks?

Just as well really, it wasn't great lol.
It seems switching to dx11 might fix the crashes. I just played about an hour and a half or so without crash all the way through scarlet spider and congalala.

Working so far for me as well. Reduced a lot of the default settings as well.
Could someone explain how to “switch to dx11?” I don’t have much knowledge when it comes to tinkering

Run with Proton Experimental. I had no crashes and got through the entire intro to the Oasis "pick a weapon" area with FSR-Ultra Performance upscaling. No frame gen.

You put "-dx11" or "-d3d11" in the launch options which is found in the properties setting,
I can’t even get the controller to work properly with the steam deck
