Well, small update, i forgot to turn off Win 8 compat mode and now that i did that, there is no flicker.

However, now the game stutters and freezes every few seconds, which is arguably worse than the flicker... :angry_seagull:

Hi! I found a way to fix it on my end after doing some convoluted things, so I hope what I have to offer can help fix it for you too

first, set the compatibility mode to windows 8, so you dont get crashing trying to get the shaders adjusted. after that, close out the game, put it in the correct compatibility mode and make sure you launch the game with "-dx11" (no quotation marks.)

You need to make sure you have your AMD drivers are up to date, and if you're on windows 11 you need to see if your computer is up to date.

It should make the shaders and textures not look like its gone into the blender anymore, so hopefully that helps ;v;

what is your gpu

Same my Rx 580 runs perfectly on windows 8 mode but can't launch without it. In compatibility mode the game runs fine as well at above 60 with frame gen in medium, but the flickering ground textures man.
Is a bad day to be a brokebitch.

not sure if this helps at all but also getting the same issue with a 590, cant launch the game without it crashing unless i have it in windows 8 compatability, but if i have that enabled i have to deal with the black flickering on rock and background textures
My friend has a 590 as well and is suffering from this issue.

Look, I'm not even asking the game to run super well, I know I'm below the specs. I don't need crazy performance to have a good time. The reason this thread exists isn't even necessarily a performance issue, it just seems like a glitch affecting certain GPUs more than them not being able to run the game.

RX 580 8GB flickering rocks, RTX3050 4GB(mobile) running poorly, but no flickering rocks...

I'm having the same problem my pc is more than capable to run this game but the graphic glitches make it hard to see I even turned the graphics to the lowest settings and nothing changed. You'd think a game like this would've been better made.

I got it fixed, I removed the shader chache in files and on AMD software, go in to the game and remove shaders threre, then i compiled it with win 8 comatiblity on MH Wilds AND steam.

After that remove Compatiblity on MH hunters wilds AND steam. Restart and it works.

How's this any different from what we've all done already? We couldn't compile the shaders without compatibility mode in the first place, so we've all compiled them under compatibility mode; and we've all tried turning the mode off after successfully getting past the compiling stage, the issue is the crash on start up that occurs when you launch the game without compatibility mode on.
