Cant Name character

just got the game downloaded, lowered my video settings, rebooted the game, got my beta character customization loaded with a few edits, go to name my hunter and palico, see the two prompts about my name and how others can see it, and then no menu to name myself. Only input that works is the right click to go back to editing.

im on a steam deck connected to a 1440p monitor, game full screen in 720p. thank you if you post any help, i just wanna hunt some monsters.

same here, the name input won't show up at all

It's because the game is trying to call Steam text input but it would not come up. Try playing the game using Steam Big Picture.

If you are a steam deck user, idk if it was vsync or being in gaming mode not desktop mode but I got the box to pop up

On PC and having the same problem. Big Picture mode didn't help.
