Optimizing game data every time I launch the game?
What the heck, I got stuck when changing a little configuration, and the game starts optimizing data. It takes too long to complete. Please fix it soon, it's annoying. :steambored:

Do you update your driver after the first playthrough, or does it happen every time no matter what?

Every time in my case, all drivers are up-to-date though.
Same thing is happening to me. When I close the game and put the pc to sleep then hop back on the game lags significantly. I need to reboot my pc and spent five mins as it optimizes the game data and it’s fine again.
It takes 20-30 minutes to optimise and for some reason when I walk away from it the screens go black and computer restarts

Do a clean install of gpu drivers and/or delete shader.cache2 file in the game folder.

Try the shader cache deletion first.

I’m also stuck compiling shaders each time the game launches
I have the same problem, mostly after I purchased the 100$$+ I don't wanna give up on it I really don't. :steamfacepalm:
Unbelievable, here too: compiling shaders on every start for 15 Minutes or so. Can't really try the game that way, most likely going to return it.

This is what worked for me to prevent this, YMMV:

- After shader processing finishes, immediately quit and restart the game from the menu
- From the main menu, adjust graphics settings to your liking, restart game again

You should only see the shader processing that first time. It seems a clean quit and restart is required for it to properly save shaders and graphics settings.

If you don't do these restarts, and the game crashes or you Alt-F4, you get shader processing again and your graphics settings reset. With the restarts, this shouldn't happen even after a crash / Alt-F4.
how do you quit while the shader is processing??? since it's just the page loading with the green floating arrow?

You shouldn't quit during shader processing, but after, once you get to the main menu. Just before you do anything else.
