UNPACKING

i have restarted steam, restarted computer and here i am 30 minutes deep and on 15 percent unpacking from a samsung m.2 980 pro ssd. im looking in forums and everyone is saying that this is normal? ive unpacked dozens of pre loads since the inception of them and never had it take this long. what is going on? i have work tomorrow that was the purpose of paying a 100 dollars and preloading 2 days ago.

agree 100% with this but sadly from what others said in other threads it seems this is a normal steam issue. I am a tad annoyed now with the unpacking cause my comp is way above specs and an edit bay and is still unpacking while my friend on a rig that is barely able to play is already playing.
