It’s yet another example of a half assed unfinished component they didn’t have time to complete before the game was rushed out.
What is the logic behind including a phobia setting which removes the small ones but still allows giant ones?? Who the hell is going to only have a problem with the small ones but be fine with giant ones??????
well for me personally its not the fear of heights, but the fear of falling down
I am not an arachnophobe, but I really don't see the point of having an arachnophobia accomodation if it's half-done ? They should not have implemented it in that case.
It’s a lot harder to add a fair arachnophobia setting that affects the large monsters than one that does the small. So perhaps it was to add something at least.
Perhaps they think the large ones look so drastically un spider (I mean look at the size) that they wouldn’t affect people who were arachnophobes.
Who knows.
I don’t think it was unfinished though.
Exposure therapy is a thing.
i don't even know what to say
I'd say the same if the mode didn't actually exist.
I am for making it more consistant, but you might need therapy if your trying to excuse phobias that are clearly... In the nicest way possible... Rediculous.
Arachnophobia mode is a toggle. Why the hell do you care if others have it on? It literally doesn't affect you in any way, shape or form.
I'm fragile as ♥♥♥♥. I would not survive two days in the wild. I too suffer arachnophobia, I'm a big adult man, yet I'm begging my wife for help as a ridicule little princess each time one is coming near me. I should grow a pair, for real. Even my dog became afraid of spiders because of me (she did mimic me). I'm beyond pathetic when it comes to spiders. I deserve nothing more than rotten fruits launched at my face for my cowardice every time one of these arachnid monstrosities come near me. Yet NEVER in my life I even dare, even for the sake of a joke, to have my fear of spiders covered by a video game about giant monsters, or about any kind of video game to be honest. Kid, they're virtual. They're not there. They are POLYGONS. In your VIDEO GAME. Living inside your computer screen. These childs would have never survived playing a freaking Zelda game because of a virtual spider, god. This is it, we've reached the limits.
This is not covering your phobia anymore, this is just plain begging for your wildest whims be fulfilled, because some of you obviously grow up for too long without hearing the syllable "no".
Command your virtual character to take his sharper virtual sword and go ruin this big virtual spider's ass. Double time.
