Anyone remember using Xlink Kai usb adapter to play the old handheld games online? Those were the days.

First fleet here, I remember hearing about Freedom on G4 way back in the day. XLink felt like magic.

I bought the network adapter for the PS2 to play the first Monster Hunter online. Hardly anyone online because of how obscure MH and the network adapter both were.

Yeah, I feel old, seeing all the new hunters enjoy a series I've loved for so long, I picked it up by chance on the Nintendo store just seen a few screenshots and thought that looks cool. It's good to see Monster Hunter Rise finally get a sequel and wilds to finally turn Monster Hunter mainstream.

The thought of fighting a monster while in their element always intrigued me. It gets rather stale hunting every single monster on land. Hunters should adapt to their environment, and hunt to the best of their ability under any circumstance that befalls them in order to finish the hunt. Lagiacrus was, and will always be my favorite monster, but without underwater combat, he's completely neutered, and might as well not even exist in a game without it.

The first monster hunter game

I was 13 years old. My mom gave me money to walk down and buy groceries. I instead went to the Best Buy and got a used copy of MH1 because I liked the cover art. Worth the whoopin. Cant believe I learned those god-awful controls for that first game. Life-long hunter since then, looking forward to hunting with y'all!
