CPU usage over 90%
Greetings fellow hunters, recently I upgraded my RTX 1650 to a RTX 3060 but the usage still lingers between 85 and 95% of CPU usage running on lowest graphics, am I doing something wrong or it's just the game?

Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400F @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
Installed RAM 24.0 GB (23.9 GB usable)
GPU RTX 3060

It's the game.

Might just be your low end pc bud
your cpu is pretty bad (for AAA gaming at least) 2.6GHz clock is rather low

should run just fine, make sure you update your drivers and expect the game to be a little unoptimized
I'm on a 3070 and a Ryzen 7 5800, and I'm getting between 60% and 100% CPU usage. GPU usage rests around 20% most of the time. The issue is that games are CPU intensive now.

Edit: I lied it's a 3080

Your CPU is fairly dated and an i5. It's a bottleneck for the rest of your hardware. This game utilizes a lot of CPU, regardless, but I would look into upgrading your mobo and CPU in the near future.

You can watch someone like Cantaparme who has all of his hardware usage posting in real time in the top right corner, I believe !rig will show what hardware he's using.

TL;DR is top end CPUs are sitting at around 50% use.

the game is more CPU intense so yes the issues seams to be your CPU
You are doing something wrong in a sense expecting the GPU upgrade to carry CPU load.

That CPU is starting to get out of date, you could get a good 30% boost even with upgrading in AM4 bases.

You could easily pump the graphics to medium while keeping current performance, when you get in-game just lower the CPU intensive settings to see if you get a manageable FPS

The beta and benchmark both run poorly. The full game likely won't run that much better then the benchmark. The problem is likely just RE engine and open world games not playing well together. That being said, your CPU isn't amazing. Definitely would consider an upgrade to a newer CPU sometime in the future.
You will need a CPU forged from the 8th Dimension to keep your CPU utilization down below 70%

Edit: RE Engine does scale with the amount of cores so at least theres that

well, you update your GPU, not your CPU, what you expect?
