Does Steam Pre-load Include the Day One Patch?

Basically the title:

Does the digital preload on Steam include the day one patch? I saw some people online saying that Steam doesn't tend to include the day one patch on their preloads and I was hoping someone could confirm whether that's a load of rubbish or if I'm going to have to download a whole 18gb patch before I can even play the game.

I would venture, if there is a day 1 patch, that no the preload would not include it.

Its called a Day 1 patch cause its becomes available on Day 1 of the release after all.

Why a day one patch should be released not on day 1? -.-

We will have to download patch after release along with the HD texture pack so dont expect to play tonight if your internet is slow.

Yeah that's fair. It's just that it's included in the Playstation and Xbox pre-loads so I guess we just have to hold that L.
