A lot of Japanese business taking a day off

There are a lot of 1 day closure notice from business' in japan rn for MH Wilds release. It must be giga important for them, many reports say employees taking a day off on friday so many business managements had to go for 1 day closure.

What are your thoughts on this?

Understandable, gaming is a nice way to get away from the tedious and sometimes toxic everyday life, be it personal life or work, i perfectly understand why people takes an entire week off to slip into a game and get away, been there myself, more than once.

In Japan this is probably a religion at this point, and thats awesome. Companies can shove it, let employes live too for once.

Nice, the closest I have to that happening is a coworker that asked if by chance I was taking time off to play MH haha…
