because files are cached atm, they gonna unpack/decrypt and get installed at launch minute.
should be in depotcache folder right now, idk, forgot its actual name.
That's normal. With the preload, you should have about 59GB worth of encrypted files stored in a Steam "depotcache" folder on whichever drive you chose to install the game on. On release, these files will be decrypted and copied over to the final install directory.

I also checked right now, 0 B on the disk, very strange
Confirming this is normal. I'll use the post here as a reminder that, as per any release on Steam, if the game doesn't unpack or allow you to play after it's past launch, you may need to fully close Steam down and restart the client in order to force a store update.

There's still going to be hundreds of people who'll think the game's been delayed, or its a scam and so on, but it a Steam quirk, and it's been this way for years. d=P
People will try to make anything into a problem. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ normal.

It's not "strange" learn how steam pre-load works.

It will unpack on release time.

It's how preloads work; the files are kept encrypted to keep people from accessing them before they are supposed to.

there kept in an encryted directory not installed there is no way you can decrypt them without the 128 random character key.
