Jesus Christ this needs som optimization asap
I'm going out on a limb to say you have an AMD graphics card, yes?
It seems Capcom did little to no testing with AMD software when devving the game I guess. Until they push a patch to fix this, you can start the game in Win8 compatibility mode, but you're likely going to have massive flickering issues with terrain.
I have re-downloaded the game several times and followed all the procedures described, but all the problems persist.
In particular all the graphics appear to have loading bugs and with a continuous artifact effect.
All these people with various optimization problems, all this needs to be fixed ASAP. It made no sense to PRE-order the game, it is unplayable this way.
My system:
🔹 CPU: Ryzen 5 7600
🔹 GPU: Radeon RX 6750 XT
🔹 RAM: 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz
My rig has 7900xtx and ryzen 9700x, but I refuse to play a game which requires Frame Gen to keep on 60+ FPS for mid setups.
Why is my Monster Field Guide not appearing??
I understand there is always issues on launch but we urgently need this patched or it will be a dragons dogma 2 situation all over again.
I had been hard crashing regularly, within a few minutes after compiling shaders. I tried a variety of things, none of which worked:
- Admin
- Compatibility Mode
- Clear shader caches
- Update DirectX
- Update/Rollback NVidia Drivers
When I finally dug into my crash dumps, however, I saw that the crashing driver was `steambox.sys` which is the steam input xbox controller driver.
I use a Thrustmaster HEART controller (which is approximately an xbox controller, so it uses this extra driver).
I went to Steam > Settings > Controller > Xbox Extended Feature Support Driver > Uninstall
Uninstalling this extended feature driver seems to have resulted in a stable game. I've been playing for hours straight since disabling it.
- An option to disable the radial menu (we can't move the camera while changing items in the bar for old players like me)
- Add FXAA Without TAA, we need just regular FXAA. Everybody says about how the game is blurry and i agree, and this is a really simple option that could improve that because TAA just makes everything blurry in movement : spoiler monster hunter makes you move a lot
- Add an option to make the expanded menu by default when pressing LB (L1), it is really a good menu system, but requiring to press 2 buttons (with a slight delay on the second one) with the thumb already on the joystick makes it really unhelpful and forgettable. Having an option to be able to use only the expanded one with LB and not the old menu item would be much appreciated
thank you
