You got a fatalis solo screenshot?
That's already more principled than the other veterans I've seen just complain about it while still ready to eat the game raw on launch with a big spoon.
I want to tell you the obvious bit about missing out on gear and gathering to set yourself up, but honestly I don't believe it anymore. I just ran Rise DLC finished it yesterday while waiting on Wilds and they just give you everything. Iceborne had that weird furnace game thing too for supplies and you know defender armour will drop. That being said I can't imagine being excited for Master Rank after buying and grinding up low than High and then just getting there. You might be made of sterner stuff.
Lastly if you looking just to add the grind back in to the series may I suggest elemental weapons for a change? You have to farm for each element and at least research the mobs a little kinda force some of that old MH spice back in.
I am just looking forward to seeing the game at one of its liveliest points, even if it kills the servers. Nothing makes a game feel fresh quite like entering a crowded social hub on launch day and knowing that every last person you encounter started at the same beginning point somewhere in the last 24 hours.
Also will likely come with a sale.
If I don't find the tempered monster grind to be fun then yeah, I'll probably shelve the game until something actually difficult comes out.
And if all the launch content is actually super easy? Then I'm done buying MH games at launch.
I'll just buy them when they're 50% off or whatever. Oh well. I thought maybe MH might escape being sacrificed at the corporate altar but here we are.
Maybe some day they'll release another game in the "Generations" series for those of us who are tired of seeing difficulty sacrificed for the sake of accessibility. Hell I'd even take a PC collection containing all the games that are locked inside Nintendo's walled garden. Man that would be nice.
