Game difficulty and grind nerfed? Or will this just be a "wait till DLC" like most?
Usually the base games aren't very difficult to an experienced hunter and contain a small fraction of the total content and difficulty that ends up existing. It seems there is a DLC coming but it doesn't seem like it will be the same type of structure as previous games yet, being mostly cosmetic and monster add-ins, no rank increases yet. If you have worries I would wait until they produce a proper DLC like Iceboorne. You won't get your total playtime potential out of the base game. This is kind of a known thing about these games so I look forward to a proper DLC announcement and will return when it releases.

felt about the same as to expect, low rank is easy, the 1 semi-hard enemy was the dragon.

low rank will be easy and high rank is when it slowly ramps up until endgame, then G rank/master is where the actual difficulty will be

I've seen a lot of concern about the difficulty of MH Wilds and I thought I'd share some reassuring words for those concerned.

I find ALL games easy. As someone blessed with certain genetic privileges such as lighting quick reflexes, 20/20 vision, long, supple fingers and a very high IQ I have never been challenged by the maximum difficulty of ANY game I play.

Does this mean I don't enjoy games?! No way! I still love games and have so much fun playing them, even though i tend to master them much quicker than the average human.

In summary, don't worry about the game being too easy. Just have fun...and I'll see you in the Wilds Hunters!

i dont believe anything i heard/read from others until devs say that "its been nerfed".
maybe they intentionally made it easier for testing purposes? which made easy early game even much more easier?

and we yet to see end game. this s just doomsday talk atm. we got no info.
I see too many complaints on the difficulty in Wilds.

Like I have said countless times:

1. Don't use armor spheres.
2. Choose armor with less defence.
3. Use weapons you have no experience with.
4. Focus armor skills/jewels on buffs for team-mates & offence only.
5. Have fun - this isn't Dark Souls.

There has been zero difficulty with any base games since MHG, this is nothing new.

Difficulty and length is a necessity to me. From what i'm seeing it is easier and shorter and you don't need to engage in the grind for mats as much but hey, you can buy cosmetics. Regardless, the minimal base game structure is not what experienced hunters want. I will return to judge a proper DLC if/when it releases.

every time a new monster came out there have been people complaining it is "too easy"

this was 14 years ago.

as for shorter: no idea where that comes into play, it has 1 less monster then world, i guess that is technically shorter, by 1 monster type, but whatever.

as for grinding: that has always been a very end-game thing, you have been able to do that whenever you wanted, but to get through whatever story they provide to reach the endgame, you could generally just do mandatory quest/urgents and just continue on with little issue.

From all the reviews I'm seeing it's apparently it's easier than base World & base Rise but it's still very fun either way so if you really care about it just wait there's still a lot of content to play in World & Rise if you havn't finished them yet.

That's my plan play the content in Wilds and once I'm finished just go back to playing MHGU, World & Rise i still got stuff to do in them.

Pretty much. Not to mention that if people find it way too easy, there's gonna be mods to fix that and add that extra challenge.

Yes I also own Worlds and Rise with their respective DLC. I was hoping maybe we wouldnt get the same bait and hook structure and get 100+ hours content easy out of the base game but this is certainly a "Return when DLC" situation, I'll even wait for the DLC reviews just to make sure. It's not going in the right direction in my opinion.

You didn't play BG3 on tactician mode? How dare you. That game was amazing in terms of difficulty haha.

That's what MH has always been doing base game then later in the year a expansion DLC for the rest of the higher end content, it's been this way for over 15years the only game's that didn't do this was the very first couple game's.

That doesn't mean you need to keep doing it to worse and worse degrees while making sure to add in cosmetics. It should be an increase to the base games engagement while we wait. Depth of mechanics as well and length and replay value. These used to be the core judgmental factors in reviewing,

g rank aint till expansion tho
I'm hoping they patch up the difficulty of monsters by increasing their health, defense, and attack so that the fights last a bit longer, but I'm not getting my hopes up lol

what else is new? doesn't mean end game high rank cant provide a challenge, but LR and early HR never were that difficult
