Depends on your hours in World. If you've completed everything, try Wilds. If not, farm World + Iceborne some more.

You can always go back to any of the titles. I haven't played World since like 2021 but just recently picked it up for a 40hour run to Master Rank for the rewards in Wilds. They are not these "online-only" titles likes Payday 3 or Helldivers 2, you can come back later or take as long as you want in any of the Monster Hunter titles.

My plan is to play Wilds story, get to endgame, then return to my WorldBorne character to finish some stuff up in between Wilds event quests.

Performance is about the only real concern there is about Wilds gameplay wise it's top notch and it's different enough it's not like it'l make World boring the combat is just different enough I see myself going back to play World when I finish with Wilds to wait for the expansion for Wilds.
That's the cool things about MH game's they change up gameplay & mechanics just enough you can always go back and play the older game's and still have a good time.

Basically if you can't run the game well at launch wait till the expansion so you'l have the actual full game available for you and most of the problems will be fixed, especially if you haven't finished Worlds content.

I think the game is brilliant. I 100% think its worth. Though you need to be aware that performance is very hit or miss. I'm lucky enough to play the game fine but i understand their are a lot of people that are not as lucky. If you've got some money lying around sure i think its worth picking up. Though if you don't i would advise you wait for some optimisation patches or even a sale

I have a good computer, but I don't want it to explode or play in bad conditions...Negative reviews don't help you decide...but the number of current players is impressive
