Hearing this game is too easy....
My wife loved MH: World. She got me into it, and we ended up fighting some really tough battles that required a lot of practice and patience.

I'm hearing this game doesn't really have that, and it's basically a power fantasy now. Is that true? If so, I'll just mention CAPCOM did this to Dragon's Dogma 2 as well -- that game disappointed me deeply because of how painfully easy it was.

No tension, no buy. Thoughts?

Since the gamefaqs days, people complained the game was easy. It's not going to be easier or harder than other monster hunters based on previews alone https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/943655-monster-hunter-tri/55384949

World has mantles that give you hyper armor, defense, and straight up invincibility vs the slowest monsters in the whole franchise. Rise's monsters are way faster, and you are mostly using Wirebugs to spam skills, not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dodge lmfao. Nice try fiver.

Wirebugs did add a lvl of escape monster MH titles don't have, but alternatively it allowed for some move sets to be harsher as you had an easy escape. If you tried to not use them and play it like other MH titles it would probably be amoung the harder titles as it accounts for the wire bugs!

Also wirebug light Bow was perhaps the best light Bow gun-play I have ever experienced 😂 I'll not enjoy Bow gun again like that for sure

It's more so the recovery after getting hit. Although you could use wirebug to dodge, that was really only used in allmother fight and the harder versions of that fight.

But more importantly was the ease of wirebug counter or shield skills, which let you negate everything and get something in return, and then if you failed that and were hit you could quickly wirebug recovery out of there.

That depends on your use of wirebuigs but okay.....

Tis not like Rise was hard anyway.

Only becomes hard at anamoly 140+ and TU updates.

Infact, some attacks absolutely do require you to use wirebug to get out :D

The problem with low rank and most of high rank in any monster hunter game is the zero need to ever craft better armor or different weapons . They need to figure out a way to incentivize crafting at lower difficulties. As it stands now, everyone just rushes to end game where crafting actually matters because it’s supposed to be the point of the game.

since they said that the one they were testing is easier than the one before and they continued saying that for every MH, then it leads to one conslusion. The statements are true and 10 years ago MH diffucility was at 10/10 and now we are at 3/10 difficulity of the first MH.
MH is actually not hard, it's just a grind game in which you kill to get armor (piece) you like

However the result is MH WIlds is ez cuz the one before was harder and is now at 3/10 difficulity of first MH, no lie or exaggeration has ever been said by the reviewers.

or they simply got used to arpgs and they find it easier because they play better.

people have been doing this for every sequel, very weird you think its getting easier when its simply hopping from G rank to LR is gonna make it feel very easy.

That's what I heard on several reviews they could play HR but couldn't talk about it much :aushrug:

I still think Worlds, Rise and Wilds are too easy and they lost the essence of the "hunt" itself. It was fun when you had to study a monster, learn it's weakness and movesets, prepare a loadout and gather friends with different roles and hunting styles. Now is more like an arcade game.

if you are new to series like me story mode some fights were so hard . my 1st clear of final boss in story mode took me 38min since i knew nothing about combo or anything .2nd day i learn everything new i clear everything within few min even those 5 stars under 15min . what i am trying to say its only easy for those with ton of experience . for new players like myself i am still learning alot . i wont say game is easy you cant just afk and hit blindly you need to know your weapon mech for fight to go well and fast or else its really a nightmare !

cant really relate, as "learn the monster" is just something you do by interacting with it, i never found gen u specifically hard either until G rank, its all just the same stuff and as such people find it easier and easier the more they play
The game is as easy as the other MO as far as i had advanced, the story is a tutorial, real thing begins after the story, even more real thing start when they will release the DLC and events...
