Yeah! Stealing the giant monsters thing from another franchise is low Capcom!!! This is wild hearts niche they did it first get your own thing
Wild Hearts is actually solid, I tried it recently on Gamepass and performance is not that bad, combat is more fluid and the game is fun.. it was just hated on by people because it was published by EA.
Dragons Dogma had worse performance, the last game by CAPCOM... so they didnt take the bad performance from anybody, its their horrible REENGINE in open world games
sry to say EA got +1 there, even i dont like EA anymore. credit where credit s due.
also music was way better than anything i heard for a long time. a LOTR quality there aswell.
but ofc its doomed like Anthem, same thing with EA always. revolutionary ideas with a real bad execution.
The portable team seems to be the one with the new mechanics, so if MH ever does get a system like that, it will be made by the portable team, then we'll never see it again afterwards.
Did you play the game late? On its first release, the performance was worse—you needed a powerful CPU to run it smoothly. The FPS wasn’t the issue, but there was a random slow-motion effect happening in-game after running it for a long time, which felt like a memory leak. To fix it, I had to restart the game.
But when I came back after multiple patches and updates, it was finally fixed. However, it was too late the damage had already been done.
So if they ever make a sequel, the game's reputation is already ruined.
I'm happy that EA helped fund the project, but much of the performance issues stem from an older version of the Katana engine which was terribly optimized. Compare to the newer Dynasty Warriors Origins which uses the same engine and runs much better on PC.
Hoping Wild Hearts gets a sequel and they give similar attention as they did for their latest Warriors entry. They also need to expand on the endgame loop and content. It would be big a win for hunting fans. I enjoy the work that both teams have done, even if Wild Hearts is playing catch up in a lot of areas.
I do agree that the performance of Wilds is really underwhelming on RE Engine. Hope they can improve it with time. World also had its fair share of issues at launch, with the dated MT Framework engine.
