COOP Story ruined again
The coop story is once again segmented and cutscene dependent, just like in MHW. I have three friends who enjoy playing co-op together, but last time in MHW, everyone quit early because of this frustrating setup. And now, here we go again...
This feels like a huge slap in the face for me.
The last two weeks i tried to hype up my friends for nothing.

You are correct. The other persons making up stuff to try to fit the narrative.

Rise and older MH's seperated the Village Quest, and the Hub Quest lines.
Which was better. Also this isnt even the point of the topic, you just strawmanning.

Its crazy if they didnt improve on the multiplayer aspect and just....gave us laggy ass Hub areas....
b-b-but 100 players im sure players want that right ?

Or players learned nothing. They're single player games. With drop in drop out co-op for specific hunts. It's not a co-op story. They may still fix it by launch, as promised.
And yet, Monster Hunter Rise did exactly the opposite, allowing everyone to play the story progression together.

True. If this is confirmed, it's pretty disappointing. One of MHR's advantages was precisely that they changed this.
Village story was not MP.

Its better untill servers go down.

not only they fked up performence, they clearly dont care about STORY COOP. or they cant do it right casue they dont know how? i think its sad that its still such a trash way for COOP Story. i wouild rather enjoy the story with my freinds from 0 - 100% . not like this or like it was in World. well i will wait till perfromence got fixed. if not i stay with worlds.

cause SAME PC BUILDs 4090.... 2 different FPS , one system crashed all the time, the other had FPS problems, but EXACTLY SAME PC BUILD !!!! i think this says all about bad coding and performence
I really don't understand why people make such a fuzz about some borderline case ALL the time.
Most people will solo stuff before they go with friends.
So it's only for the case where you've been playing and want to drag some of your friends
into multiplayer who have never played the game before.
I guess in that case it's most of the time better to let them learn the controlls instead of beeing told by their friends from second 1 what to do.
This is no service game, go play that with your friends who probably didn't like how much time you got to invest into Monster Hunter.

I know its hard to understand for a finak fantasy fan, but the other possible case is we have friends we want to play mh with you loner.

Actually since you can't read already, you are also projecting your problems on other people.
Get help while you still can.

he read your post perfectly. you were saying "most people will solo stuff before they go with friends" which is just plain incorrect. when playing with friends you dont want one friend to be OP and carry every monster, so you both do the same quests and progress about the same rate. something you would have known if you actually played any monster hunter game with friends before. so in this case you are the one who needs to get help, help with getting friends :)

I read it. You dont believe there is anyone who would play it together except if their friends are new:
"Most people will solo stuff before they go with friends.

My problem is that I want to play monster hunter with my friends, like many others. However, outcasts like you, who haven't talked to anyone outside in years except for the lady at the cash register, can't comprehend that there are people who want to play game together from the start.
Came here for exactly that. Sad. Was looking for a new game to play with friends and hoped this time monster hunter would do it right instead of forcing us to play a long ass campaign before being able to coop properly.
Well, I'll visit again after release, just to be sure.

Trying to get through the story coop with a partner was annoying, clunky and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in World. Sad they didn't fix it. Have to launch a quest, get the cutscene, leave and then post the hunt properly for each and every story beat according to ACG. Guess they learned nothing.

Yeah, that was really annoying in World. If it's not fixed in Wilds that will be a big disappointment. They had seven years...
Honestly, there still is a day one patch and I could have swore they did a interview and said it was seamless. I'd hate to find it but now I want to go back and watch all their interviews.
I just watched a review from a smaller youtuber and he said him and fightin cowboy were able to play the campaign coop without them getting sent back during every cutscene. Maybe the system is just glitched

Ok this is plain stupid. I use your argumententation on yourself:
you say then you never played monster hunter yourself with a friend before because otherwise you would know: than you can have more than one char.

And how does that stack up with your claim that 'most people will solo stuff first?
If it's a new character made to play through the story with a friend, they'll still have to deal with the 'find monster, watch cutscene, quit, join hunt' issue that people are citing.
