Reviews say too easy and only 15 hour story
Seen multiple reviews calling out this game for being too easy and the story being super short. Wondering what ya'll think of this. I'm on the fence if I want to get this at launch or wait for a sale.

Edit: Gyatt Dayum this thread blew up. Too many people to reply to individually but thanks for all the replies you all have given me things to think about. Going to think it over and decide one way or the other.

2nd EDIT: Decided to pick up the game. See you all in a few hours :D

Well, it's base game after all. I'm sure they'll add challenging quests in the events section when the game goes live.
15 hours just for story if pretty darn good.
$70 for a 15 hour game? Hmmmmm
nothing truly challenging until the equivalent of raging brachydios (or alatreon if you’re well-seasoned) in like 2.5 years from now, deal with it

If you skip optional content and do not do end game.

You can blow through world story in a few hours as well.
Me getting old: Appreciating games not being Darksouls difficulty.
Well well well, and these are the journos playing it lmao.

IGN guy said 50 hours with current end game stuff but Capcom always add ridiculous amounts of content post launch to MH
and not challenging High Rank according to same reviewer
15 hrs full story mode is solid for MH game. Problem is, IGN guy a veteran of MH game, says he was done with the game in 40 hours... He crafted powerful gear, killed all monsters in 40 hours, and that was it. There is nothing new aftewards, no end game, nothing. Game is also being too easy. Let's see how it goes.

That's a shame.
Funny that people who play mh for decades say how the next game is to easy. Heard the same stuff about rise and world too. Experience surely is a weird concept.

It's always the same with these people. People playing action games for 20 years now also say action game number 32 is to easy. So whatever.
People keep forgetting the difficult rank is always part of the rerelease/dlc for all the G rank fun.

Hey, hey, hey, I can kill Fatalis and Malzeno with any weapon but now I'm just fighting Great Jagras. Where's the beef? Give me something to test my skills.
Thing is? Rise's story was exactly the same thing. 10-20 ish hours of the easiest monsters in the game. I'd like to say Worlds was as well but it's been so long since I played that game on PS4 I don't really remember.

It's literally a glorified tutorial. MH isn't a game that ends when the story does. The end of the story is when the ACTUAL game starts.

If you're planning on buying this game for just the story. Don't. You'll be missing out on 95% of the gameplay if you quit after the story.

Complain about the length of the story if you want, but that's literally THE SMALLEST portion of the game. The story is always that way in MH games.
