"Wilds looks worse than Worlds" a reminder
Just a casual reminder of what Monster Hunter World looks like at 1440p on Low (not lowest) graphical settings,

Just so that people can take off their rose-tinted glasses and take a look at what Worlds looked like for those on entry level hardware back in 2018.

For comparison, Wilds Benchmark at Low/Lowest settings;

Skip to 2:33 for the in game components if you don't want to see the rendered cutscenes

It's because of the art direction. World's appears to be superior from what we've seen of Wilds so far.

Peoples opinions of the art direction will change as soon as they experience the Scarlet Forest.
wilds is visually better and world isn't even on the same scale as wilds. wilds is WAY more open.

Worlds doesnt look bad. Barely better is good enough.

Sorry, but I can't agree with this. Why?

Well glad you care lol Wilds has A LOT more going on for it then World / Iceborne like what?
heh well allow me to try with my limited knowledge to explain and these are my thoughts and personal assumptions from what I seen and played and maybe I missed somethings or yet to see things because you know the game isn't even out and this was just a beta..

The quality of the weapons and armor are already good looking especially the furry one, the instant environment changes and it still looking good and running smooth maybe not fair to others because for me I can run it on ultra. I removed the motion blur stuff and depth of field no frame gen and no dlss, ultra wide mode at 3440 x 1440 and I run it above 115+fps and I am content with it because of what is happening on screen.

the effects the areas how large they're the amount of endemic life night scene day scene and the skies look beautiful just everything behaves and changes no loading I wonder how fast it will be to travel to the next areas from there or IF it will even need to load?? also when the Lightning starts to storm up and strike areas and such the sandstorms and this is just a taste of what else there is. I think people are judging this too harshly and are not seeing the actual gameplay and fun factor this will have while also maintaining fidelity in graphics and smoothness again not everyone can run the game its just that time to upgrade or something is bottle necking your PC but hey not my problem...sorry.

I think the game looks GREAT!!! could it be better? if so like what? other than being better optimized or maybe just use a proper engine instead of Capcom using theirs. I do not know I love the game so far and I will 100% be enjoying this game and now I get to see my Gore Magala in ALL ITS GLORY! sheesh dreams do come true after all.

and by the way we all know those Chocobo skins are only a matter of time... Right Capcom ;)

I believe you missed my sarcasm, and therefore my point.

I agree, Wilds looks better than World in effectively every metric.

I bought and played rise fine after world without getting heart failure from the graphics, I'm sure wilds will be fine even if i end up needing to turn the graphics down a bit to play it

Low effort.
Low effort.
Well yeah a PC game relying on upscaling and frame gen is gonna look pretty ♥♥♥♥.
The lighting on the character and monster models during the storm looks off. Too bright, yet faded to grey mush.

Recommended hardware and settings is 540p/30fps before upscaling and frame gen....what a disaster.

Let me just cover you in sand during a storm and see how grey you are =P.

I love the people that constantly post wilds screenshots saying how good they look and then you just look at a game like Horizon Zero dawn on the Ps4 which looks still better than Wilds to this day.

The whole game looks like it was made in 2017 and demands hardware from 2030 to run properly.

Isn't the LOD stuff a confirmed beta bug already?
