Monster Hunter Wilds

How does the game compare to World?
I didn't had the chance to play the beta a lot, but I wanted to ask the community how they felt about the Combat and the Mechanics of Wilds.

Are they any good? How fast is the Combat? What are the most important changes to the weapons?

From what I can see from a few Gameplay videos, this game retains a lot of what people complained about of World, but it also has that heavier, somewhat grounded combat.

Also, personal opinion here, I honestly don't like the Desert map, it looks pretty boring compared to other Monster Hunter areas. But I'm hoping that this is not the only area where we can hunt monsters.

Focus mode lets you aim your weapon.
From my perspective, basically everything I saw complained about in World has been addressed in Wilds.

Could you expand on what specific complaints you mean?
Everything is better, except I personally already don't like the story where you start off as a big ♥♥♥♥ main hero expedition leader guy instead of just a random hunter and it's not reflected in a gameplay whatsoever. And yes, the sand biome is pretty uninspired, but there will be many more.

noty correct at all ! nearly every complaint from worlds is complied here! people hated clutch claw well focus miode is 100 super clutch claw!

people didn't love the guiding lans {commonalty called the grinding lands lands } well the whole map design here is the guiding lands!

people didnt love turf wars {well their is so many monsters with such how flee rates now the monsters are constantly having turf wars}

how have any of world`s problems been addressed ???

It's basically World plus with faster combat and reworked weapons and maps 2x-3x bigger.
No Clutch-claw but replaced with focus and you can now aim your weapons now like you can move your great sword attacks mid combo so you miss a lot less.
And you have a mount now.
You can carry two weapons.
Combat is also a lot smoother now.

Was fine, travel was as good as it was in rise (so it was very good), the focus mode is a fine addition but it took some natural adjustment to make full use of what it offered.

the desert map has some features that aren't captured well in my opinion, it has similar features to the desert region in world but with some new ones like the spires that attract lightning in the area during a thunderstorm.

The combat felt very good, better then rise and just as good as it was in world since the clutchclaw was replaced with focus which does feel like a much better iteration of that mechanic (wounding monsters and staggering them). I didn't play every weapon so i cant really comment but longsword felt as good as always, they added some new moves to the helmbreaker chain and with focus mode they added new ways to add charges with a new way to expend charges.

I'd say it could compare well to world. but i've not played the released version yet so take everything with a grain of salt until you either watch footage of the game being played or you play it yourself.

not very good world still seems like a much better game and unfortunately with following how this team makes games we will never see a true equal to worlds and the team continue to stream line and try to push the game into the west for more sales rather then looking after the title!

do not be fooled by content creators and other with blind admiration for things they do not understand!

this is a shiny looking animation driven action game that really is not a good monster hunter game!

im starting to call it monster hunter mild`s the gimmick hunter!

Focus mode isn't clutch claw at all. It takes the tenderize mechanic for weakening monsters and builds upon that in much, much better ways, but there's no clutch claw baffoonery.

Guiding lands is an endgame thing, we have no idea what the endgame of Wilds is, so that's moot.

That's the first I've heard of people disliking turf wars, most I've seen people praising it!
