Game Optimization at Launch – FPS Issues with Ryzen 5 5600X & RTX 3080
I’m using a Ryzen 5 5600X and an RTX 3080. The FPS is poor regardless of whether the settings are on high or medium, so I have no choice but to enable AMD FSR and frame generation to boost performance (FPS). Will the game be optimized at launch?

if you find that you aren't getting extra performance from lowering your settings that means your CPU is the bottleneck, because all the settings only help with the GPU side of things and not with CPU.

As for if it will be better at launch, from what I can gather... no, i mean it will be better then the beta, but that is because we havent been to the other areas, according to those with review copies... some of the other areas get pretty bad.

ok so CPU is actually the bottleneck. feel disappointed right now.
The fps will kind of be better by 5-10fps (based on benchmark), but the main improvement will be DLSS/FSR clarity and framegen stability.

Don't worry dude all CPUs are getting some bottleneck even the 9800x3d.
It's not your hardware at fault it's the game being unnecessary CPU heavy for no good reason.

Yeah the 5600X is having a bit of a struggle in this game, it's heavily bottlenecking my 7800XT.

But we can still get decent framerates with the right settings.
Try disabling cpu0
That gave me a small boost in FPS in the benchmark

what is your fps? have you seen what the others have posted about their performance benchmark? are you getting similar or worse?
The 5600x is still a pretty solid CPU. The game is CPU bottlenecked, but also even toptier CPUs struggle a bunch.

Same thing happened with World, so performance will get better, as it did with DD2. However, unlike World, DD2 which uses the same engine as Wilds, is not up to standard even a year after release, so the last hope/cope left is that they will focus far more resources into Wilds as MH is one of their big IPs, if not THE flagship.

im using a standard 5600 and been getting decent performance. Stutters are going to happen regardless though, and slowdowns in town. Just wait till the game is out so we know if denuvo will gimp the performance or not.

Hi thanks for reply. My FPS is around 70 to 50 can even dip to 40s when intense fight. So I have to use AMD FSR + Frame Generation method to get 100+ fps.
