What edition do you get and why?
Just wanted to know what you getting guys and the reasoning behind, is there anything you burn for in the higher versions?

Ill just get the regular version just like how I bought World back then. The DLCs can be purchased later.

The cheapest one. Only reason to buy another one is to support the developers more

I am just an MH fan and one of the only games I buy premium deluxe for.

Basic one. Couldnt care less about skins.

After my nearly 300 hours in World that I "whatever" tried because a friend begged me to for so long and after my first log in, I couldn't stop playing until it was done; after all the trailers, trying out the beta and the benchmark, I splurged for the Turbo Mega Super Premium XXL Kaching edition. But only because it was cheaper at a 3rd party reseller at around 75. No way in hell I am paying 110 for a game otherwise.

If you are a fan from a previous MH game and you have spare cash, you can get the upper tier editions for the bling, but if this is your first MH game, just get the basic cheapest one.

You are not missing anything - it's all cosmetics. The thing is, e.g. MH World had SO MANY great cosmetic options already in game that the DLC items were basically for super fans - you are not missing anything. And even if you like any specific DLC cosmetic, you can always buy it at a later date.

The game is gonna be good. It's just like MH World but better. And fresh. The only gripe is the performance right now, but that can, and probably will, be fixed soon, because already Wilds is shaping up to bring many more players than World and Capcom will have to make sure their game can be played by the maximum ammount of players possible ASAP.

I honestly was just genuinely interested if you go for a higher version than base what might be the reason why as 110 is ridiculously expensive. Some might argue with the elven ears or the hairstyles I assume, I was going to pick up the base version tbh.

That was my point. Logically speaking, there is no reason to buy anything besides the base edition - the rest are just cosmetics and the game is full of cosmetic options already, the bonus ones are nothing special. Just MORE.

The more expensive editions are just a "Thank you devs" patronage packages that give you something in return. Nothing pay-to-win or pay-to-not-look-like-brown-sewege-dweller like other games. Just more.

What is in the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe editions is not worth the cash even if they were super amazing cosmetics. And they are not. 110 is nearly 50% more than the game asking price of 70. For what ?

Until the Deluxe includes a DLC or two sometimes in the future, if you just wanna play the game, go for the basic one and don't look back.
the one that wasn't a disguised charity for a multi-billion dollar company

Standart, i don't care about the content of deluxe and premium deluxe.

Never spend the actual price for the best, I got mine for under $100. If you are patient you wait for a sale or go to game sites like Green man gaming or fanatical gaming it is cheaper than paying the actual price and if you want the standard that is cheaper as well. this series is the only one I go for the best I do understand some of the stuff that is in the best can acquired as play but I got mine cheap so I forgo that and just pay up front only in this series and I may not get to play just yet as I have a back log to go through before playing this.

I got the middle "Deluxe" version because of the extra hairstyles, eye patch etc sure, but mostly because of the 2 layered armor sets. Not in particular because those layered armor sets are good, but because like on World there aren't a lot of layered armor for early game, and mods will replace those, so I can have 2 modded outfits right at the beginning of the game. That was my biggest reason.

That's not a big reason for a lot of people, but I start over alot because I enjoy the gearing process more from the beginning, than I do grinding endgame for something small.

Nothing wrong with that as was going to choose that one myself if I did not choose the third one just got it because I always go for the highest in this series, you still get the best as it does not degrade the standard just gives a little extra as none of the other two takes nothing away from the base.
probably deluxe, I guess.
Played World for 1100+ hours so if Wilds ends up being the same that equals 0,082€ per hour played. that's a good deal.

Just the base game & only because a console friend of mine is buying his first MH game, I canceled my first pre-order because of performance from the beta & then the benchmark to then pre-ordering again because of my friend.
Basic cause the skins don't give me an advantage.
MH world shows you can look dope with some effort and time
