what controller do you use?
what controller do you use to play monster hunter? If ur a keyboard and mouse player, ew thats disgusting. you should be ashamed of ur self and pay reparations to every other MH player.

I use a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ps3 controller with a single joy stick that eventually stopped leaking oil whenever i use it. idk why or how, but both joy sticks feel the same. so i dont really care despite having a ps4 when world came out (sold now), and ps5 when ff7-2 came out. still using the ps3 controller to play MH on PC.

PS5 controller. I have had multiple xbox one controllers (Including elite) in the last few years and all developed stick drift, two developed failing bumpers. I have had a PS5 controller for a year and a half now and 0 issues still.

It's a cheap cabled controller that is shaped like a SNES controller, but with Dualshock 4 handles. Very comfortable.

It is officially licensed by Xbox and works perfectly on PC.

It has hall effect analogue sticks to prevent stick drift.

Cost me like £35.. i was fed up of buying official Playstation controllers that always break.

How do the thumbsticks feel? It also has back buttons correct? Do they need to be programmed with software or can you change them on the fly?

I was looking at that controller as an alternative PS shaped controller to the very expensive, but admittedly quite good, dualsense.
logitech Gx56 Hotas when I get my emulator back to running. But for now keyboard and mouse

The PS5 Dualsense Edge, I love it because it has two back buttons I can assign to anything. It's awesome because you can control the camera while still using face buttons
Once you go with a controller with back buttons there's no going back. Not sure why Sony only went with 2 buttons when the competition has 4 though.

I hit them with my ring fingers, index on bumpers, middle on triggers, might be a little too much if I have to move my ring finger to two separate buttons. Pinkies and palms are pretty much only thing holding the controller

I use the Scuff Xbox style controller so in a game like Elden Ring I can have parry, sprint, dodge and item use all on the back buttons. With this controller only the middle fingers are used for back buttons. Pull for outer button and push for inner.

Cool, I got parry on a trigger and circle is back button on the right for dodge/run

Then I use the other one for down on the dpad for games like Bloodborne that use that for heal.

Definitely can never go back
