what controller do you use to play monster hunter? If ur a keyboard and mouse player, ew thats disgusting. you should be ashamed of ur self and pay reparations to every other MH player.

I use a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ps3 controller with a single joy stick that eventually stopped leaking oil whenever i use it. idk why or how, but both joy sticks feel the same. so i dont really care despite having a ps4 when world came out (sold now), and ps5 when ff7-2 came out. still using the ps3 controller to play MH on PC.

Keyboard and mouse. And my reparations will be me carrying controller players against Arkveld. As randoms were carting like crazy in that beta. Also, random players had pretty bad DPS on average. This is relevant because one would assume the majoirty of players in the beta were controller users.

I imagine focus mode plays better with KBM.
I actually played a decent amount of World with KBM and it was perfectly fine.
I do prefer using controller but there's nothing wrong so long as you have two thumb buttons on your mouse.

I think the main issue with Keyboard and Mouse is you have 4 movement keys instead of analog. So you only have 8 directions to move instead of 360 degrees. You can kind of make up for that a bit with good camera control, but overall it's just worse

8bitdo Pro2 - Xbox hall effect update

It's a cheap cabled controller that is shaped like a SNES controller, but with Dualshock 4 handles. Very comfortable.

It is officially licensed by Xbox and works perfectly on PC.

It has hall effect analogue sticks to prevent stick drift.

Cost me like £35.. i was fed up of buying official Playstation controllers that always break.

I am using a Trustmaster SwapX. That way i can have sync placed analog-sticks like on playstation but the hand-formfactor and buttons of a xbox-controller. Also very nice extra custom mapable triggers on the back, in case i want to put functions on them without triggering them the old way (like L3 or R3 -> pushin the analgo sticks).

Controllers are trash in most games compared to M+K. But for the few games I do use it, that is the best controller ever made. PS5 is second best, but a very very far distant 2nd.

They make the best budget gamepads by a wide margin.

Keyboard and Mouse is just fine, its even better with some weapons because of the focus mode. If you bash Keyboard and Mouse, you are just tragic. Rurikhan made a great video showing how much of an advantage a mouse has over controller in wilds, its tempting me to go mouse at release if they havent fixed it.

Personally i use a Xbox Elite V2, best controller i ever had, and now i have 3 of them for each PC in the house.
