Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

View Stats:
Please take more time to make the game
CONS (or reasons why you should take longer, I'm begging)
1.The trailer is bugged in so many ways
2.The beta looked and felt like s*** and had unstable frames
3.Frequent crashing in the beta

PROS
1.Game has potential to look amazing
2.Weapons have a refreshing feel to them
3.New monsters that feel like they live in their environment
4.Feels like World (good thing btw)

Capcom, Dont mess this one up. Please.

Honestly, for those of us whose rigs can handle it, the game looks amazing. There contrast/brightness tool needs some work, as I had washed out colours at the start until someone pointed out who to rebalance, then the game looked gorgeous.

Mechanics are great, weapons have been given a new lease of life, and all the available hunts in the beta were great. I mean damn, Arkveld was something else!

Theyre not gonna do that lmao. Did you miss the memo? Game companies now released unfinished games, release the DLC's as the finisher, and MAYBE if we're lucky we get optimization updates.

Even on high end systems it ran poorly other than that it has potential to be a great looking and playing game.

Too late, they picked RE Engine. The only choice they have now is to release it in the state that it's in now and try to patch it as they go. Maybe in a decade we'll have the hardware to be able to run this game at a native 1080p and 60fps without the use of upscaling and frame gen.

1 hows the trailer bugged?
2. Beta ran stably for me
3. no crashes here

RE Engine is literally one of the best engines on the market right now. You can point to a game in RE engine to complain about, but you'd have to know nothing about games to think individual examples of poorly optimized games is indicative of the engine itself being at fault. UE5 has some absolute garbage games on it, and yet the engine is fantastic.

If you're going to criticize RE Engine, do it by talking about what the engine ACTUALLY does wrong and not some specific issue in some specific game, because that just shows you don't know what you're talking about.

Capcom has failed to deliver an open-world game in the RE engine that runs well. They are 0 for 2.

What is that engine built for, specifically what is it used for? Great, now ask yourself why would they take that game engine, that isn't meant for large open world mind you, and develop a large open world Monster Hunter game on it? We all know Dragon's Dogma 2 uses the exact same engine and it too is a large open world rpg. We all know how that turned out, so we know MH Wilds will be no different. So why are the majority of you trying to excuse it.

It sounds like you actually don't know what you're talking about here. The RE Engine is the best for corridor based level designs, but trying to force it to do large open world instead, it's no surprise the game engine falls apart.

Not a single actual issue with the engine in sight, just saying "x game runs bad and I'm assuming the engine is made for this thing". Game engines are far more customizable and complex than you clearly know. RE Engine was NOT made for corridor based levels. I'd love to hear an actual, specific thing RE Engine does that makes it so bad for open world. Is it culling? The way it draws? Threading? Do you have literally anything other than "duh DD2 ran bad and year old beta ran bad hehe"
Branding issue clearly RE isnt open world kek

The promotional trailer was "bugged"?... How can mere curated footage of gameplay spliced with cinematics be "bugged? 🥴

epic response, you know you can just google what the RE engine's specs and abilities are right?
I am agreeing with ya, as i said its a branding issue, peeps hear RE and think its clearly alll it can do disregarding continued development on the engine etc.

Its why its better to notname engines after specific games

So you're just sticking your head in the sand and dismissing it because you can't handle that realization. A real shame. Not my problem you can't accept that.

Woah, is that another message with 0 comments on the engine itself? That's crazy.
And now they're resorting to ad hominems. That's crazy.
