LOCK ON CAMERA

Ive been playing Monster hunter for a while now and something i noticed is that my camera is much worse in this game and makes me manually move it even after locking on unlike monster hunter world or rise, is there anyway to fix this?

There was a setting that was enabled by default which made your camera lock onto a monster. You could fix that, by turning it off. But it was buried in 10 pages of settings so it's not surprising some people couldn't find it.

Edit: oh you actually wanted more lock on, in which case you probably did find the setting, and just turned it off instead. Because you certainly shouldn't have had an issue with camera lock by default.

Its on by default... so you have to find the focus camera setting and disabled it

Yuya Tokuda try not to make a garbage lock on setting the default for no reason when the classic one is just fine challenge: impossible

Having the camera auto-track the monster instead of centering the camera when you tap the button is such a pain in the neck. I'm glad it's there for people who want it, but I wish it wasn't the default option.
