I bet we don’t get a demo….
It’s already confirmed that many weapon overhauls (SnS/Lance/Swax) will be a day 1 patch.

When asked about another beta we were told ‘maybe’.

No reason to release a demo pre launch at this point. Unless you disable certain weapons. I bet a true demo follows post launch.

The existence of the Beta pretty much confirmed there wasn't going to be a demo. If they were going to do a demo, they would have done that instead of a Beta.

They've essentially said that if there was another "demo", it would be the same build as the previous open beta playtest. It would be more of a way for players who missed out the first time to try the game instead of a showcase of all the changes they've made.

It doesn't matter at this point. Anyone that's on the fence for buying the game already made their decision. Otherwise, people are just anxious. They just want to play the game right now. The closest thing is just the beta.
i still find it doubtful we won't have an official demo involving the flagship monster. we've had one for.. basically every entry in the franchise. maybe now is the time they finally change the pattern, but i do seriously doubt it, and theres probably too many people asking for one at this point anyway.
they aren't stupid enough to think not having a demo is better than the opposite, especially if they can (and they did in japan already didnt they?) put a more up-to-date one out that'll put peoples fears to rest

After how poorly the "beta" went, I think they probably need one to alleviate some concerns.

Patently untrue, the livestream on December 19th already showed that many--though not all--of the changes inspired by feedback were in the build used to showcase during the livestream, and that the others were going to be in the game by the time of launch barring unforeseen difficulty. A google search isn't hard, guys.

Both World and Rise had betas as well as demos, it's just that the betas were for the initial release and the PC didn't get the games at the same times as consoles. That's different for Wilds, which is why we got a beta this time as well. The odds of having a demo (likely with three hunts of ascending difficulty) are quite high, as that's been the format for multiple generations now.

The team very specifically used the term "open beta test" to refer to the beta we got. Generally speaking, they don't use that term for the format that MonHun demos get. Japanese is really big on categorization and context, and to them a beta is a completely different thing than what we call a demo. They are not equal.

The most recent news post talked about how they're interested in releasing a benchmark. That's not as good as a demo, but it's better than nothing.

The Director also mentioned during the recent "pre-launch community update" about a week ago that they might run the last playtest again, but it wasn't his call to make.

There is a QnA at the end of the broadcast in this news post if you want to see exactly what he said about another playtest.

So who knows. There might be another playtest.

Capcom pretty commonly releases demos too, so I think there's a good chance there might be one for wilds.

A benchmark sounds good. A demo would be fine too I guess, just don't mess it up and leak a denuvoless copy like some games make the mistake.

You can hold on to hope that we're getting an actual demo, and I hope we do get one in the vein of past games, but the pedantry doesn't really refute the rest of what was said in the livestream. They explicitly said that if they did it, it would be the open beta playtest build and would have none of the improvements they showed off because they were working on them to be implemented by launch and with the day one patch.

They explicitly said that in response to the question of whether or not they would do another, and I quote, "oppun beta tesuto", to which it was responded that if they did another open beta test--a term specifically used to refer to the beta and not a demo--that it would be the same one mainly to make it available to people who didn't get to try the first one.

I'm sorry, but you are wrong.

The demos they've done for World, Iceborne, and Rise have been specific monster hunt quests, and the Playstation/Switch versions had betas as well.

We don´t get a second beta or a demo because the devs need every person for the final game.

Yep lol
getting a demo doesn't matter about wepaon changes.

The reason people want demo is PERFORMANCE.
They want to know if it is going to run smooth on their hardware,
