Open Beta Rewards

Somehow I missed that an open beta was being held even though this game has been on my wishlist forever. I see that there was a small cosmetic reward for participation. Does anyone know if this reward will become available again in the future? Will they sell it as DLC like they do with the preorder bonuses? It kind of sucks to miss out on stuff before the game has even launched, even if it’s just a small thing. Does anyone have an answer to this?

More open Betas are now planned. Also I would imagine the charm will be paid DLC for a buck or 2. But its hard to say since an open beta is kinda a first for MH.

Capcom has a track record of offering items as DLC after a game's launch, including the different bundle options for their game as standalone purchases. There is a pretty good chance the Pendant will be available for purchase later, as well in different colors. The same pendant is available as DLC in various colors for World, so there's very little reason why it won't be the same for Wilds.

If you're worried, however, simply creating a character and having character data will net you the Beta rewards.

You've not missed out on anything other than the first Beta's Item Pack, since they'll be holding two separate rounds of Beta availability in February, before the game releases. This second Beta will come with its own Open Beta 2 Item Pack, though, as well as the Pendant from the first Beta.

The first Beta Item Pack contained:

Lifepowder x5
Max Potion x2
Herbal Medicine x2
Nulberry x2
Armor Sphere x5

The second Beta Item Pack will contain:
Raw Meat x10
Shock Trap x3
Pitfall Trap x3

Flash Pod x10
Large Dung Pod x10

Essentially, you've missed out on about one hour of farming materials to craft the items in the first Beta Item Pack.
