what ? what are you saying ? 4060 better than b580 ? i recommend to check that card right now, you are saying something really wrong here, right from the bat B580 has 12gb of memory
HOWEVER, I don't know if the b580 is really much of an upgrade from a gtx 1080. I mean, its technically better but unless you have a motherboard/cpu that supports re-sizable bar (which isn't guaranteed if its older) it might be a side grade because you NEED re-sizable bar to get the full performance of the b580.
I would look further into that before spending money if I were you
Gaming + Productivity work? RTX 4060.
Most GPUs with 8gb of VRAM struggle with new games right now, unless you are happy to use upscalling with 4060
It should be faster and has much more VRAM.
HOWEVER, and this is IMPORTANT, we don't yet know how good Intel's driver support will be for Wilds, so it would be a gamble.
But it's definitely the card I'd choose.
Why, so they can spend $150 more for the same performance with less VRAM?
Not always. If the performance gain in the mid range of 50 series stay similar than the price of 40 wont change much if anything it might go up like it did with 3060 when people found out it performs better than 4060.
Also 5060 has been confirmed to have only 8gb of vram so it will be dead on arrival and 5060 ti will be probably 200$ more than 4060 is right now.
If there is anything worth waiting for is the RX 9000 series as that might offer good price to performance ratio.
