Monster Hunter Wilds

Game is dead, change my mind
It's got less concurrent and less 24 peak than destiny 2, a game released back in 2017.
Had 5 friends that purchased it on day 1, none of which have touched the game in over 2 months.

Cyberpunk, Helldivers, Elden Ring, Red Dead 2, Skyrim...

How do even singleplayer games that have been out light years ago have more concurrent players?

MH World has 9.5k players, game hasn't been updated since the stone age and it's only

Game is dead.

sounds like a friend issue tbh
replace game with the word franchise lol

the franchise lives on past copium and quirks from older games featured that to the devs where actually mistakes !

they didnt know from the start what they was doing monster hunter 1 they tried to make a sword and sorcery RPG failed hard and had a quirky fun hunting game that fans loved and each iteration has drifted further and further away from those cool quirks and more inline with the modern AAA slop !

Rejoice! You are now enjoying the privilege of being abandoned!

May your next reincarnation give you enough charm to make others tag along with you by what you are, so your group does not disband when the digital content of a pastime runs dry!

Eh, I don't think it's that surprising that a f2p game with multiple content expansions released over the years has more players than a new full priced game with drip-fed content. Even world which released in 2018 is reaching around half the player count. What this game needs is a more interesting endgame, or meatier monsters so they don't die as fast.

Why should anyone change your mind? Don't like it? Don't play it!

I would play this game if it was offline singleplayer. It's fun. Why does the amount of players matter at all?

Dude Destiny 2 died in week 2. You don t remember that content draught everyone complained about? And it was also only on bnet for PC, not on Steam. Oh, and not to forget the game came on PS4 first :P

The game is not dead because this is a single player game, you play it once you finish you're done with it and wait either DLC/expansion or in this case wait for the next title update.

It doesn't.
But there is a cult that would try to have you believe otherwise.
Kinda feels like in their quest to streamline the game as much as possible...they actually streamlined parts of the game away—to the point where there is less overall to do, less reasons to hunt monster, less reason to keep playing...

Too much of a good thing can become a bad thing.

Why change your mind? It’s dead. Everyone saying anything else is delusional.

Come back in 7 days, Most the Same Post are still on top.
Your logic is absolutely wrong.

Only because people jump in and write down their frustrations doesn’t mean that the game is alive. Especially fans of the game do that. All other people just jump on the next dumped down game.

those single player games ironically have way more replayability to them than Wilds does because of modding support. Especially skyrim since that game is almost 14 years old at this point. Even tho the gameplay for it is pretty poor that alone has kept it's numbers high for years. Cyberpunk same situation. I'd bet that witcher 3 has around the same numbers too, people tend to like games more that embrace what they are instead of games like Wilds which try to appeal to as many people as possible and it was only ok at best and never amazing because of it. It's never about longevity with this style of modern game design, just the surge of people playing the first month.
