to be more clear until i was like 60 hours in i was just using those would be counters as just regular slash attacks and spamming dodge after

Do you even read them?)

More egregious to me was the "tutorial" on trapping after the main story lol. Mid fight randomly drops stuff into your inventory, no idea how to actually use the things, monster flies away after you use traps etc. Terrible new player experience.
Wilds "tutorials" are the absolute worst kind in any case.
Like you're totally in the zone and they suddenly just pop up and freeze time with a text box, completely throwing off your timing.
A proper tutorial would walk you through doing particular things, but instead we just get the interrupting text-box in the middle of combat. I guarantee almost everyone just mashed B to get rid of every single one ASAP because they're a liability, and probably got smacked by the monster because the "tutorial" threw them off. And new players wouldn't understand that the tutorial messages are recorded in the hunter guide accessible from the start menu... so they'd miss them the first time then never learn the things written in them.

Wilds has the best weapon tutorial compare to older title, you just dont read the weapon guide from the hunter journal and blaming it on the game.

and you can perform a draw focus attack with GS, but nobody knows this and how it's done because it's not in the tutorials and you won't even find it on youtube, there's like only one video where it's revealed how it's done , and being able to do a draw focus strike is a very big deal for GS, it's the only weapon that can do this

not sure I want to share the secret it either because this forum has been annoying af nothing but trolls and bait replies every time I posted anything

I mean, the weapon tutorial is way better than any of the older games.
You have the option to have all the controller imputs in the upper right corner to know where you can take your combos. So you know your inputs.
And then there's the arena where you you tweak what the "dummy" is doing and a lot of other things to really learn your weapon.
And the Weapon guide now isn't just a list of combos using weird legends, it instead explains all the different weapon mechanics, modes, special things and what comboes into what and what the things do. It's perfect.
the thing what is actually cool thing and about ls, there are many tricks, there are many hidden micro tricks, if you mean them, than yes weapon tutorial is rly bad, if you mean basic things like counter... than i suggest to read tutorial careful.

Welcome to the Monster Hunter. You probably dont wanna know, what kind of tutorials there used to be in the previous games (almost none tutorials at all), so the wilds' tutorials are pretty good compared to the others
When you say "weapon tutorial" you must not mean "weapon tutorial" because all the moves except specialty ones like sliding and climbing and jumping are detailed in the Player Guide for every weapon.

Thats your own fault for not reading the weapon controls when other MH games did the same cause its perfectly explained there.
Yea, dont take the bait of "tutorials are actually good its a you problem."

Capcom games do not have good tutorials. They are a "you discover how to play by yourself" type games.

this is literally one of those "you problems" if you're new just use the training dummy and you will learn whatever you need to know abt a wep

I said this was 60 hours in I'm 120 hours in now, and back then I did use the training dummy I just used those counters as regular attacks because they never said they were counters
