Worth Getting This Game With my New 5090?
I just got a new GPU and I want to play some games that use it up fully. Is this a game that I can use all my GPU? Anyone who games with a 5090 have any input? I would be SUPER interested to hear from someone who upgraded from a 4090 to a 5090 while playing this game. The difference between before and after the upgrade.

the 5090 is 40% stronger with all the proprietary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ turned on. It is 55% faster with all the proprietary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ripped out of the application and unused.

When I say ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I mean all of it. ANY kind of blur or smear or fake ass frames. The only cpus able to properly leverage the card are the 7800x3d or stronger, and by stronger I mean obviously amd x3d, and no the 9900X does not count.

I actually have a 78003xd. I also avoid DLSS and framegen as much as possible, although I will use RT if it doesnt tank my performance.

Do you think it would be something to really push my GPU, or am I going to be CPU bound in this game?

9800x3d, 4080S. WD Black 850x nvmes, 64GB ram, etc. You cannot even get stable 60fps on 4k without turning the ♥♥♥♥ down graphics settings. Enabling Frame Generation is quite mandatory to do so. Even on 1440p, you will get drops during certain weather/monster effects. The game is not in a good place performance wise unless you are gonna play 1440p on the tip-top GPUs or just 1080p.

Game has issues that aren't hardware dependent that lower performance. You already know this is a buggy game that people with all kinds of hardware have trouble running.

Buy this game at your own risk. Good hardware doesn't guarantee great performance in a buggy game.

Any gen9 game with proper threading will tax your CPU the hardest, that's literally the delineation point between gen8 and gen9 to begin with. The old days of buying a pretty ok CPU and paring it with a flagship GPU are over, permanently.

Not true, only true for games with incompetent developers. Buying a top of the line CPU means nothing when a developer that has no idea what they are doing literally has threads do the same exact work over and over for an infinite amount of time, and the routine never ends.

No CPU can outrun buggy code.

Not worth. The 50xx is a very minor step up from 40xx. Itl's only a 10% uplift...
yes u nid a 5090 or else ur not a real gamer

ROG Astral 5090 or no go.

Hold on, wait, just heard there's an even more expensive one for 7000 USD.

ROG ASTRAL DHAHAB, or no go bro.

https://videocardz.com/newz/asus-rog-astral-rtx-5090-dhahab-edition-now-available-starts-at-7000-but-features-700-worth-of-real-gold

I am sure they gold plated the connector...

It depends what your current GPU is - if you have a 4090: do not upgrade. It is not worth it.

You got the wrong card for avoiding DLSS and framegen

If you want to upgrade, upgrade your mainboard, and get PCIe 5.0 support for any card.

You will benefit a lot from that with this game if the rest of the hardware you have is up to date with a Samsung 9100 e.g.
Well, it was using 98% of my 4090.

I have noticed that game devs tend to avoid multithreading like the plague. Do you know of any good new(ish) games that have multithreading? I would be very interested in that if it can also push my GPU
