But I think all weapons are viable against Rey Dau and especially in multiplayer. The speedrunners show that you can pull it off with any weapon.
Hammer might have a harder time getting the full high damage combo out, but the stuns add a lot of value by itself to the team.
At the end the best times are only possible with weapons you feel comfortable with and that hit consistently.
>people understand "hammer sucks"
It's like saying the game is boring and people read "this game is ♥♥♥♥". Man, this is really harsh how people can't understand what they read anymore.
About the KO is depends on the resistance numbers and if this is an normal rey dau or tempered. I don't think we have the exact values for AT yet, although you can simple test it yourself with that mod that show monster values.
I am long past my days of min/maxing and crunching numbers. I was into that with custom quests, big time, in the MHP2G to MHP3 days. Now, I just hunt with my wife and everything dies fast enough for us not to care too much.
And, I like to be a smartass ;)
Took me a while to learn this "off-set" mechanic. I had to see it happen randomly. then I had to realize it was the golf swing. Then i had to realize the game now lets you HOLD that point of the combo. (I do not watch videos and did even talk about this game online until I had completed it)
ps- the focus mechanic took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out too. Landing the actual focus strikes, i mean... creating and abusing wounds was pretty self evident from the go. If it wasnt for there being an achievement, I may have never figured it out. who knows?
Also, hello welcomed Hammer Bro.
Personally I disliked gunlance despite it being my favorite weapon for forever but now that shelling scales? I love it and I actually feel like I'm doing damage :D
Keep giving those monsters concussions friend!
At 3*, 8-9 most likely.
iirc, monster resists to status debuff buildup from 1* to 3* are around only 70-80% more threshold. For example using HBG like requiring from 2 shots of sleep ammo lv 2 becomes 3-4 shots of same ammo. The threshold for buildup grows with every successful trigger. But then you will eventually reached threshold limit
