Monster Hunter Wilds
What we're seeing now is Wilds at its weakest.
Gotta bear in mind this is Wilds at its worst state: no Title Updates and other patches adding content and QoL—for sure no expansion pack as well.

You gotta compare this to World and Rise's day 1 state and how many of you can even remember how those games were back then with 0 Title Updates, patches and expansion?

Now, I personally feel Wilds blew way too much of its load on the Fallow/Inclemency/Plenty cycle which was a lot of wasted dev time that could have been better spent on something like a proper village like Astera and at least 1 more major map region.

it feels like the most expensive tutorial i ever bought

giving more powerfull mechanics to hunters and nerf monsters wasnt the best move imo

they already did this in world and i hope they can fix it, cause how it is now its just a walkthrough for anyone who has played more than 2 mh games before

at this point i really miss anjanat, kirin and nergigante xD

That being what it is, is inevitable. What we need is sort of a new "Generations" / "Ultimate" edition.
It won't matter as long as it runs like Mutilated Fanboy Ass while looking like a PS2 Game.

You're still just paying to Test the Alpha Fanboys.

Currently playing again and loving it, emulating it on the deck and dont even have to do "the claw" to control the camera these days.

No resources with markers or even labelled so you actually have to look for items.

No always knowing exactly where each and every monster is, you lose it its on you.

No names.

As it should be.

I had no idea the devs were trying to market monster pool schedules as a "system"

For a second I thought I had missed some mechanic and just powered through it.

I didn't say Wilds was weaker than any particular game, I just wanted to make sure people were giving it a fair shake and realizing they shouldn't compare it to Worldborne or Sunbreak that had years of Title Updates and their expansion pack.

The massive difficulty complaint can easily be fixed with several free Title Updates. The lack of content? Remember the Kulve Taroth siege was World's big endgame for High Rank and that didn't come until a Title Update.

True. I thank you all for your sacrifice.
Potentially, with updates anything could happen. They could break the game and prevent people from playing (again), or create a new system that dictated the entire flow of battle (again). What I will say, they can't really do much worse in a lot of areas.
Sieges are bad, nobody liked doing them, and I'm glad they didn't add one in Wilds. That's about the only thing Wilds did right was no sieges, and no stupid ♥♥♥♥ like rampages.

Just give us some good fights with title updates, something like arch tempered elders. New armor sets for the arch tempered fights, just like in base world, they had alpha and beta sets, and arch tempered gave us gamma sets. One good cross-over fight too.

I am surprised you didnt mention the control sceme.... Something that would probally be noticed... instead of camera control, which was horrondous on MH1 too :P

idk, the whole rotating seasons is pretty fresh for me so i give it a thumbs up. I do agree the charm of having a beautiful hub like Astera is what im hoping we get someday, but considering they're discovering a new land compared to MHW where Astera has been for a while based on NPCs saying they were born there so having a fully functional "village" is to be expected.

Completely agree with the comment about Wilds being at it's weakest right now though! It's first release so we just gotta wait for the updates, dlcs, and rotating events.
raises the question why people should buy it right now, if it is at its worst state?
honestly, if someone asks me which MH game to get, I'd still say world without any hesitation.
