I do not see the 50er series being worth the price. It depends on your budget. If you can afford it, go for Nvidia. If you have it tight, go AMD.
otherwise rx9070xt is your best bet
If you want 4K 30fps then the RX6900XT should be capabile enough with adjusted settings.
If you want 4K 60fps (no framegen) then maybe the new 9070XT (if you get one for MSRP). Otherwise wait out for a new genration next year.
the prices are high not due to demand from gamers but because demand from ai is stupidly high
i got a 4090 and a few games (not only new games) are fast @ 18-20GB VRAM in 4k Max
5070 is far away from 20 GB VRAM
i would wait for TI / Super models with MIN 16-20GB VRAM (24 is better)
Or buy a AMD GPU with 20-24GB VRAM
Or (if you can get one for a good price) get a 4090. 4090 is still a very good GPU.
I got my 4090 Suprim X new for 1749,99€ - a few % = between 1500-1600€
If thats too much..
Do you need 4k? 1440P is still good and 16GB are okay for 1440P
If you want 4k and dont mind Max settings a 16GB VRAM GPU is still okay but you have to change some settings (not Max)
The game is rendered in 1080p and upscaled 4 times with frame gen.
Your better off playing native 1080p 60fps framr gen.
9070xt is better but finding those at msrp is harder.
4k? not in MH Wilds, you'll at best get 1440p upscaled.
Other games/ 9070x / 5080 would be best for 4k gaming
Unless you really care about RT I think you would be disappointed. Not only would you lose 4GB of VRAM, which would be very handy at 4k, you wouldn't gain much in terms of fps.

I have had no issue with this game outside the GAME itself performing poorly due to bad optimization.
Textures just load poorly with the RE Engine from what I can tell, doesn't honestly matter what quality you set it to.
