That being said, it would make sense that the chances are different as you're removing one potential affix from the table.
However i don't think there's any potential tampering of chances from one weapon to another.
No. Just one table with different interpretation.
Take for example melee and ranged weapon - what is sharpness for melee becomes capacity for ranged. But the table is always five times out of three options
Your GS crafted weapons have an inherent seed built in per type of weapon. Element Vs Non-Elmenent. When you craft a weapon, doesn't matter which type Ele or Non-Ele, that seed is altered and will now apply to the two options. For example, I have 2 weapons already crafted, one is Non-Elemental, the other is Elemental. I didn't get the proper stats I wanted when upgrading either of them for their respective purposes.
I make 1 more weapon, which pushes the seed forward under the GS umbrella. I reinforce this weapon to see what stats I get. If it has the stats I want, I'll reset the game, make dummy weapons until I get to just before the seed I want with the right stats. Then make my desired weapon and reinforce it.
So ideally you would save your game first, make a dummy weapon, reinforce it to see what stats you get. Does it have the right stats?
Yes - great, reset the game, make your desired weapon and immediately reinforce it.
No - break that weapon down, craft a new one, apply reinforcement. Does this have the stats I want?
Yes, reset game, make dummy weapon first, make desired weapon 2nd immediately reinforce.
No - break down the 2nd weapon, and repeat the process.
Now if you run out of mats to make the throw-away weapon be the same type as the base weapon you want to keep (ele or non-ele), you're going to make your desired weapon, apply reinforce, and reset as necessary.
In fact what I would suggest is an example where you want an elemental weapon. You craft a dummy one first, reinforce. Reset, make a non-elemental weapon, make a dummy element, reinforce. Reset, make two non-elemental first, dummy element 3rd, and so on.
Obviously you’ll craft whatever you have mats for, since we all don't have 500 of each weapon part lying around.
Keep in mind this is per weapon. So if you make nothing but GS weapons it won't affect the seeds of any other weapons.
Slightly better description:
Craft Weapon (ele or non-ele don't matter)
Element - A1 Seed // Non-Element B1 Seed
Craft 2nd Weapon (ele or non-ele don't matter)
Element A2 Seed // Non-Element B2 Seed
Craft 3rd Weapon (ele or non-ele don't matter)
Element A3 Seed // Non-Element B3 Seed
The seed goes up by 1 for each type (element or non-element) of greatsword every time you craft. The seed is also tied to the newly crafted weapon, not any previous weapons you crafted. So the stats for the first weapon you make is set in stone if you decide to reinforce it. Nothing you do to can change these stats. You have to make a new weapon and reinforce it. Your first weapon is essentially trash, but is required to be made to push the seed further.
So i could let my base weapon sit in my Storage, craft as many throw Away weapons i Need to get the right seed and once i get the seed i want, i Reload the Game so the last throw away weapon with the Rolls i want was Not crafted yet. If i Upgrade my Base weapon now, i will get the exact upgrades i just got on my last crafted throw away weapon?
Apologies.
This is just mindless grinding and if youre unlucky you will Never get the upgrades you want.
How is it frustrating aside from being too simple?
The funny part is, with this being essentially a 4U sequel, we had the deterministic "artian" crafting in that game already. So we're moving backwards with this gacha system that is somehow even WORSE than the essence grind in Sunbreak. Another head-scratcher from the mainline team.
Some people will get in Their First 5 Attempts others will have to craft 100+ weapons to get the Desired outcome. And since there is no way to Trade with other Players its just Not a good System IMO.
That is just randomness. In general 1 every 200 has a perfect outcome. That is not that bad.
