Types of Crowns:
Gold Crown (Large) – Signifies that the monster is one of the largest specimens you've hunted.
Silver Crown (Large) – A slightly smaller but still above-average large monster.
Gold Crown (Small) – Marks an exceptionally tiny version of the monster.
Silver Crown (Small) – A slightly larger small monster but still below average size.
These crowns are often required for achievements/trophies and can be a completionist’s goal. Monster sizes don’t affect gameplay much, but larger ones may have slightly different hitboxes and reach, while smaller ones can be harder to hit.

Hope this helps.
There is no silver small crown, there is only miniature crown which is gold in colour
