Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

View Stats:
Endgame is tied to just repeatedly farming Tempered Arkveld.
Arkveld is the only tempered 8-star monster worth fighting in the end. Why? because he's the only one who has a significant amount of rarity 8 weapon mat drops, the armor is the only rarity 8 armor with highest amount of armor and most upgradability, and also great hunts with Tempered Arkvelds give the most xp. And unless you want to fashion hunt for layered armor, or farm for a rarity 8 non artian weapon, there's no real reason to grind any of the other monster. Besides searching for crowns. So atleast for me, I know the game just came out, but I feel the current "End Game" was poorly planned. I want to fight an 8 star congalala, or Nu Udra, or even an 8-star firechicken. But those dont exist. So there's not much of a point to continue engaging with the game until the next title update drops.

It certainly is a poor end-game. But what's the point of going for the end-game stuff in the first place I have to wonder. Frankly I went reading through reviews of the game and found one that made me realize with them putting it in the best words I've heard so far.

The game lacks any friction at all. Why even grind artian weapons or decos? Monsters are just mostly stunned during fights where they very quickly die. But even if they were 5x longer to kill they can't fight back. Focus mode makes it so you never have to do proper positioning and can't miss monsters along with the effortless amounts of damage thrown out from popping wounds. Your seikret makes you immune to getting hit more than once in spite of monsters doing pitiful damage even with a glass cannon set.

Like there's no fixing this short of disabling focus mode in the game for the new tougher than tempered fights that are planned. It's fundamentally a game that doesn't want players to experience any hardship no matter how slight it is and focus mode is the largest cause of that.
This is why I am saying they need to add resistances like World's TU3 Flashbug resistance.

How anyone can cart to Jin Dahaad is beyond me. Their attacks are so incredibly slow.

Mechanics. It's the only monster in the game with actual mechanics.
Wilds has the worst engame of any game i've ever played. A disgrace.

Opinions are like are like anal sphincters. Everyone has one and feces is the only thing they ever produce.

So your own opinion too?

What a bad analogy XD.

Thats just player mentallity because he is 8* and easyer then GM.
Think big problem is the fact that Arkveld is way more common than Apex creatures.

Been so long since I last saw Tempered Apex - meanwhile Arkvelds keep popping out of every corner.

End Game is looking for Gold Crowns... so you are fighting all the monsters.

Ark Grind is just to get your rank to HR 100 fast so you can make Tier 2 Decos

I guess if you are just going full smooth brain and think Full Ark gear is the best gear for your class/spec then sure...but it isn't.

rather fight non tempered combined quests to farm for decos
am not too sure why you'd kill tempered arkveld over and over actually, I don't really see any point
feels like this is a point some influencer made and we're dealing with an influenceable individual

tempered arkveld duo quests give a LOT of artian weapon frags, as does Gore Magala. I think you get less decos as a result, but this is anecdotal.

World players be like "no endgame" as if world didn't start the exact same way 😂
Its really weird how this community defends Wilds by pointing out that all previous titles had the same issues on launch. Do y'all not understand what this tells us about the developer? Like seriously.........

Difference World had was the Arena from jump.

I can kind of understand why the Arena and Gathering Hub isn't in base Wilds when the Guild had not send an advance force to colonize an area for the main fleet to come and start doing their thing, it is less things to do. Likely we will build up the Arena and such but that should have been included in the base game with the Arena being a part of the middle of High Rank for conservation efforts into the Forbidden Lands.

Other than that, yeah, we had the same number of high tier enemies to get the best loot from. Tempered Nergigante, Teostra, Kushala Daora, Vaal Hazak, and Kirin.

I'm betting everyone is forgetting the reception to the double/triple Tempered Hunts. Yes, yes, old school MH fans had no problem with this. Those new to the franchise who grind to get good had no issue with this, but I take the changes made as Capcom trying to figure out the right middle ground of when to push the gaspedal and throw new Hunters into the deep end.

Problem is Arkveld defacto gives the best drops so there's only 1 thing to farm. With World you could reasonable farm all the end-game elder dragons. There's also just less of a reason to farm, you get your decos here fairly easily, same with your artian weapons. Where as in World there was zero chance you were gonna run out of things to farm for.

And yeah that added content. Whether it was the Kulve raid, event quests with better rates for farming, or whatever, it will automatically be better than what Wilds can provide to improve it's endgame. Because as I said everyone already has ALL the decos they need if they farmed. If they don't have it, it's because they didn't try, and added new content won't help that. Everyone should already have their endgame weapons too if they're reasonably trying. New monsters being released can not fix that short of making both old decos and weapons irrelevant with power creep, which is no chance of happening.

Welcome to Monster Hunter, where you farm 1-3 of the same monster for 800+ hours.
