So after hours of wondering why this fish isn't biting at all. They don't tell you this.

You have to press W and S at a rhythm slowly to perform a slow reel, in doing so, literally the first time I do this, the fish bites within seconds. It will ignore ALL other tactics. I also used Emerald Jitterbait. Just to save people the headaches

a lot of fish require you to do this to get their attention, it definitely makes more sense on stick
