Frame Rate/Lag Issue?
So I have an Intel Core i5-6402P. Its about two years older than the minimum processor recommended to run the game. (the Intel Core i5-10400) Would this be the reason my game is running a bit lagged? Or should it theoretically still work with the processor I have now? If I purchased the newer one, would it even guarantee my game would run smoothly after installing?

This game is very CPU bound and your CPU is certainly on the older side. You would need a new platform to really notice a significant difference.

U Need at least an AMD with x3d to really have a boost.
That means a new mainboard, ram, cpu, cooler.
what is ur entire specs and how much budget do u have?

That 6402 is a decade old. It's 5 years older than the 10400. It's seriously time to upgrade.

Long story short: yes

Processor-Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6402P CPU @ 2.80GHz
Installed Ram-16.0 GB
System Type-64 bit operating system, x64 based processor

When I went to go check the system minimum requirements, it looks like it is just the processor that needs an upgrade. That being said, this is absolutely an older computer. Its an iBuyPower from Best Buy from like, I want to say 10 years ago...? I just don't know if I bought a better processor, if it would even be compatible with my computer because I honestly know nothing about gaming computers and builds. I just bought it a while back to play bigger video games.

do you have a dedicated graphics card? even if you do upgrade the cpu, it depends on what CPU you are trying to get, as you lack a dedicated graphics, you would at least need an APU.

if you do buy an APU like a ryzen 8000 series, 8500g/8600g/8700g

it would look like this, this is with lowest preset @ 720p frame gen on and upscaling which means it is the absolute best case scenario

i think u should try get a ryzen 7500f + rx6700xt or better if you want a "good" experience however that is still completely subjective as some people can play with 30fps.

So I do have a laptop that says it has a "Ryzen 8 cores 4000 series". I haven't checked the specs on it yet since it is charging up now. I was going to also try playing MH on that newer gaming computer just to see how it preforms..is this also on Capcom's end? These issues? Or is it sincerly not having a great enough computer to run it perfectly?

it is sadly both, that it is unoptimized pos that requires a very high bar of pc specs as well as specific settings like upscaling and frame gen to be on. you may also require additional third party mods to help with stuttering.

laptop graphics are usually not very good and tend to be extremely expensive to be on the same level as a desktop's so i wouldn't expect yours to be too good either. however you can try.

Are they not going to optimize this game? Surely they would, considering they have had successful monster hunter games previously?
