Oh yeah that's right no chance because this is what your mount does every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time and now you have no hope because you cannot see it at all......

That way you can see over the seikret, it is annoying though.
The AI pathfinding for alma/riderless seikret should really have an exclusion zone around the player.
Tried that mate and it just moves directly infront so you can still see nothing, when you pull out your fishing rod the mount should do one and not try photo bomb you within 0.3 seconds making this activity impossible, if i could kill and cook my mount into well done steaks trust me i would have already 100 times over lol, they need to fix this asap.
No idea why this isnt working for you, just press down on the camera thumbstick to look down at the water and the camera should move higher above your character (and also slighty further away, your screenshoots have the camera super close to you).
Maybe unequip those horns from the seikret while fishing :P.
The problem is some fish you can angle the camera above but with fish like the sailfish one the camera constantly reverts to its normal state automatically and then all you can see is your mount, try it and you will see exactly what i mean.
I mean its not like your right thumb has anything better to do while fishing.
As soon as you adjust it it pulls back instantly, like hard pulls back with the sailfish, this for me is a defo change they NEED to make, all they have to do like you mentioned earlier is have a small exclusion zone in a half circle behind you so your mount cannot get in the way but also does not wander off too far, job done.
It is really strange also how with the gajau the camera stays up in the air so you can avoid the mount to a certain extent but for a fish that requires you to slam it the camera pulls hard back down as soon as you try to put it up.
been in this same scenario. fact is, the seikret is making it harder than it needs to be. telling people to angle their camera does not stop the seikret from being a nuissance, making things harder and making the whole thing feel unintentionally janky.
The having to pull the camera up is not too bad, it's definitely annoying but like i said with the fish that actually jump and require alot more control the camera will not stay there and to keep it adjusted you would constantly have to do it, as soon as you let go of the camera stick it instantly pulls back down to the original position.
Not only are they HUGE and INTRUSIVE but one would figure everyone would know after the first two or three times.... but they keep displaying EVERY TIME FOREVER.
Lol yeah i know they get in the way just as much haha.
