Seikret sitting in your way while fishing

Someone kill this reptilian bird. EVERY single time I cast my lure to fish that stupid F***ing mount wants to stand right in the way. There ultimately needs to have some way of disabling it while fishing or at the VERY least make it and your dumb useless palico despawn when you have your fishing rod out. It's ironic how they claim the seikret to be soooo smart in the begining of the game and it's too dumb to stay out of the way while fishing... It's already hard enough to get some of the aquatic creatures to spawn but when we can't even see it, makes it much worse!

Well, I guess if anything were to get Crapcom's attention, people making a new "Birb blocked my fishing!!1!" thread on a daily basis would do it.

i'm going for the 30 whopper achievement too and i'm annoyed as all get out whenever the seikret decides it's going to walk behind me and just stand there in front of the camera as i fish

Honestly this is kinda what I'm going for, it's annoying yeah I know but it is something I think should be fixed. I enjoy the fishing and if another mechanic is getting in the way of that, I would like it fixed and I'm sure there are others out there that would like for it to get fixed too.

I'm going to try something with the Seikret exploration option and see if it works...

It actually walks away and stays with Alma when casting the line.

Doubt any of the settings actually do anything (all of them are while-riding behavior), but all the Automatic-mode stuff is off.
KBM with Automatic keybind(s) replaced with Manual.

And always, -always- take a flying leap off the dinobird.

It isn't definitive in any way, but I just caught 3 whoppers in a row with the "Seikret Auto-explore" switched off and it didn't come near even once. I'll continue testing.

This is kinda true is there no way to put the sacret on afk in camp ?

whenever I fish, the chicken's butt is right Infront of my face lol, so I rarely ever see my catch with big fish. Maybe just have the bird sit by and watch whenever we fish would fix it

seikret in general very often gets in the way, fishing, posing for camera, looking at monsters with the binocs, it needs to be fixed.
