Weakness exploit is good, Agitator can be good, counter strike is also not bad,
If your weapon alowes you to full stamina use Max might, fast weapons like Burst.
If you use max might or like dual blades or bow, you can also add constitution.
Part breaker and flayer are also nice to have.
If you are like me you can also add some divine blessing and evade extender to make it a little easier to fight the harder monster.
Chose wisely between alpha and beta sets. Some have the skills you want already on it, but you might be better of with taking the part with more slots.
For weapons its easy. Status weapon want critical status and more buildup for the status.
Elemental weapons use critical element and the elemental damage.
Critical boost and critical eye is always nice. Same for handicraft.
And don't be to sweaty on min maxing. It can take away your enjoyment a lot..
Edit:
Admittedly chest armor does have little variation. There's one piece that overshadows basically all others.
